I will definately! I forgot to answer about the repotting but remember what sugashorti said about cutting them for a while then plant a fresh set.
I was being less heavy handed with the seeds this year because when I planted tomatoes last year they went all over the place and I feared that maybe we used too many seeds. The hard rain we recently had drowned them out so the little sprouts need to get some strength again. The corriander and chives are coming on alright. It's only been about 5 weeks since they were planted but I'm cheering them on trust because the effects of the credit crunch a come!!!

Congrats Salsaqueen
Your lettuce looks great, you can start cutting them with scissors soon. What type of lettuce are they by the way? Now your cucumber will need to be replanted in a bigger pot, see my pepper plant below, with a stick for support.

hmmm yum, looks lovely! Here's the problem, the space you see there is the space I have. I guess I could turn the lettuce on the right round and try to squeeze it there.
How long do you think I should leave before cutting the leaves? I can't believe it it's only been two weeks.
Oh the lettuce on the left is B&Q herb and salad leaves with little gem and lolla rosa lettuce, coriander, rocket and spinach Bloomsdale. (98p)
The one on the right is Red, cos, Batavia and oak leaf lettuce. (£2, Sutton seeds)

I would start cutting the lettuce about 4 to 5 inches, but if you want to maximize your growing space in the window what about this,
I brought one of these in IKEA, I think it was about £2.99. It's meant to go in an kitchen cupboard as a plate or cup stand, but it wouldn't fit, but since it's mesh I think it would make a good plant stand because you can set your lettuce under it and your larger plant on top sunlight can past through.
This one I have will hold a stack of plates or 4 cups, but I think there was a shallower version [half as deep] which holds two cups and will fit the window sill.

@sugashorti: Aaah I love your lil peppers. I scooped some seeds out of one the other day to plant and just have to get the pot and more soil. One thing that fascinates me is sseeing how they grow without interference. I didn't know that the peppers come up like that. How long ago did you plant these?
@salsaqueen: I like the tip about the stand. What do you thihk?
@Kunjufu: Thanks....what's a percy thrower

But you're 21 I'm supposed to have known about him first LOL.
I looked him up and see what you mean. At first I thought you were using slang and would you believe that it's an actual term used to mean telephone .

Sorry I have not been back sooner, the weeds wait for no one, we had quite a bit of rain, so I've been fighting with the birds and slugs. I started those peppers in May as seeds, in a pot covered with cling- film until they sprouted out.

**IMPORTANT**
I forgot to mention those cucumber plants need to be placed outside in the warm weather, so the bees can pollenate them, otherwise you have to do it by hand to produce the fruit. A google search will provide several tips on how to do this. Do let me know how the re-potting went. Are you referring to the seeds' sprouts which are used in salads ie. bean sprouts, alfalfa, mustard, cress.
My okra is still hanging in there but I think the main problem is not enough sunlight, most of the days have been overcast. The pak choi was a hit, so are my onions, not very sure about the potatoes. I might grow them inside next year, if these potatoes suffer with blight.
Last week I decided to pop into B&Q. There were a lot of plants selling for £1 and less. I found some containers of six plants for only 20p each and managed to save 18 plants in all for a cost of only£1.00. With all this extra rain they are doing well.
My other weakness is growing these:

I see. I couldn't help but take a peep at the planted seeds which are starting to sprout under the soil. I think mine have been planted too late but will try a ting with the cling film tip. They're outside while we are getting some reasonably good sun so let's see how we get on.
I've planted some beetroot aswell and after placing them nicely in the soil with sticks for markers....didn't I accodently knock them over *slaps forhead*. Well thought I'd got the seeds after sifting through the soil but now they have started to sprout. It seems there were plenty more seeds I didn't get so now they are coming up all over the pot. I know I'm going to need to replant them and so far I've found out that I need to plant about three of those sprouts together to make one beetroot. Hmmm ho wmany things can I do with beetroot ?
By the way sugashorti, do you ever leave the lettuce to grow into a full lettuce? It's supposed to take 14 weeks for them to form so I'm wondering when does it actually start to look like a lettuce?!
