However,i've never believed Micheal to be a pedo,I think he'd sooner cut off his own dick than mess with children sexually,however because Micheal BLATANTLY lied about many things(SURGERY,VITILIGO etc)people were are inclined to believe he was lying about everything.MJ certainly didn't do himself any favours with some of his behaviour!

I'm just thinking how certain people, powers and institutions (especially the media) subtly build up impressions of ourselves which we then use as the basis for making decisions relating to ourselves.

I'm sure too many people would have believed what the media told them about the the scandals and sensational stories related to Michael.

Now this institution called the media has focused a disproportionate attention on interpretating Afrikans in the Diaspora and continent, mostly as we know, in an attempt to belittle, reduce, exploit us.

The sad thing in my opinion is that we take in these interpretations and take them as reality in terms of what our individual realities should be and what we should think about others within our group, especially the opposite sex (I think this has a HUGE impact on our black on black relationships).

As a black man, whatever anyone else thinks and regardless of what he has done, Michael is a black man and the media focus on certain aspects of his life is just an attempt to discredit, downplay and reduce his genius to they can bring in their version of the superior male musical icon, like Justin Timberlake.

This is unsubstantiated. You're not helping Michael Jackson's memory by spreading rumors. Not everything you see on someone's personal blog is true.

Vezz, I don't believe for one moment that Micheal had vitiligo,you mean to tell me that this supposedly hereditary disease struck him ONLY,out of 9 kids??? I t was a disease of convenience.
Ok,say I give him the benefit of the doubt and he DID actually have it,wouldn't most normal folk use make up to match the darker parts of their skin,rather than bleaching out their entire body to match the vitiligo??

I've also read in the last 36 hours or so that Micheal had recently been diagnosed with skin cancer.I would suggest that this is a result of the toxic mess of chemicals he had to be using to achieve his "look",you can't purposely destroy all your natural melanin and not expect there to be consequences.

This is what I mean about certain of his behaviours not doing him any favours,I loved Mike but was also infuriated and embarrassed by him at times and he did tell BOLD FACE LIES.

But I forgived him A LOT of this shit when he was alive and still in death coz I know where it stemmed from.

At the end of the day lemme just say this,when James Brown died,Micheal who was in Asia at the time I believe,flew out to make sure he was there and pay his respects,I always made a mental note of that,this speaks volumes about his character.I can't think of one of the hip-hop fraternity, who wouldn't have even had a phucking career if it weren't for James,who was there.So Micheal will always have my props for that one.....coz he unlike many others KNEW.

By the way there will be a celebration/memorial at the Apollo Theatre in New York this Tuesday between 2-9pm,if you're in NY and you loved Mike I suggest you try and make it as I believe it will be wonderful....i'm half thinking about flying out there myself.

vitiligo is NOT hereditary.

I'm a sufferer of vitiligo. (face/chest/right arm) and I'm the only person in my entire etendeud family who has it.

Which is why I said "supposedly",it was MJ who proclaimed it to be hereditary in his interview with Oprah Winfrey,if this is not the case,no one had the balls to pull him up on it!

I don't know enough about the disease to say yay or nay,I just "know" he didn't have it.

Maybe to him it was easier to bleach than to black up. It is possible to make the skin lighter but i don't think you can make it darker permanently.

Yeah maybe he did have Lupus,I can't speak on that,however in terms of concealing his so called Vitiligo I was suggesting make-up,not a permanent darkening solution,dermatologists have all sorts of industrial strength concealer creams for every kind of skin disease.

However,i'm not tryna get into a slanging match about MJ's various ailments,we all have our opinions,mine is just one.

The strength of feeling surrounding MJ is quite high and I don't wanna contribute to any ill feeling.

For those who do not believe, you obviously do not know much about the disease. Most people will wear makeup to hide it (and Michael did try this) but for some especially those with extensive vitiligo, depigmentation becomes the easier route to go.

Also remember Michael Jackson could not afford to not be perfect. The industry would not allow him. He never had a chance to be a child and be normal but has been working all his life with little time to be ill or focus on himself. Insults about his appearance from his siblings and dad may have led to a type of dysmorphic syndrome. I don't think anyone can understand the sadness and pressure in which this poor man lived in. I cannot imagine living in a world where you were so scrutinized, so exposed and so misunderstood. A life where you even got condemned for not wanting to share your insecurities with the world.

Well after seeing those pictures all I can say is I RETRACT my statements about Micheal NOT having vitiligo,I apologize to every one who said he had it and I apologize to Micheal's spirit.
It was just very hard for me to reconcile the fact that he had a skin-whitening disease.....in conjunction with this grotesque facial surgery he was constantly undergoing,it just seemed too convenient....and he was always denying the surgery,so I wasn't tryna hear bout no vitiligo.

However,for the record I STAND CORRECTED.

About him changing his facial structures, I think it started with just wanting to make his nose small since his father made sure Michael believed he had the biggest nose in the planet. And maybe that created a complex where he was never satisfied it was small enough--things you say to a child can affect them deeply. Dr Chopra stated that abused children do try to change themselves as if trying to be someone else because they hate themselves. Maybe Michael wanted to change anything in him that looked like his father. What's more, cosmetic surgery can be addictive and I doubt it can ever be perfect so maybe one surgery leads to correction ones and before you know it you're trying to save face (pun intended). And if he was on drugs, who knows if any of those surgeries weren't done when he was under the influence.

I think there's just so much we will never understand because we couldn't imagine what it was like to be him. That he could be so lonely with all the fans that he had and all the people that surrounded him or loved him just goes to show you that things aren't always as they seem. Just as an aside,there are over 900 people currently viewing the open forum,I don't think i've seen that many herein some time....maybe the news of MJ's death is just starting to sink in for some people.

Anyway i'm aware of all the psychological trauma Micheal suffered at the hands of his father/brothers(as well as physical)and those kinds of words can stay with you for a long time.Seems to me though that the whole family had some sort of body-dysmorphia with a race component attached and this just doesn't come from nowhere.......obviously, it's not just the father to blame,it's the whole of society which thrusts eurocentric ideals of beauty down ones throat on a daily basis.
But look at the whole family,all of them except maybe Tito and Rebbe underwent nose-jobs...and remember when that group came out who were Micheal's nephews(I forget their names)they all looked like clones of him which was scary as hell....I suppose all those noses were natural too eh?
What angered me with Micheal's surgery was the message it sent,he was essentially saying to me and anyone else who resembled him,that they were ugly,imperfect...this may not have been his intent,but that was the message it sent.
I only wish he'd had people around him to tell him how genuinely beautiful he was before the surgery,I mean he was a seriously beautiful man!

Speaking of Micheal's nose,he was not the first one to rock this monstrosity,if you look at a side by side pics of Sissy Spacek,Micheal and LaToya,you will see they all have the same nose,probably done by the same surgeon.
Sissy is notorious for having one of the worst nose-jobs in Hollywood and this seems to have been the template for many surgeons until they started perfecting their techniques(although maybe not as Little Kim seems to be sporting this nose too)......although it was too late for Micheal by then.

The part which got to me was her saying he didn't know how many dates he'd signed up for at the O2,he thought 10.
If that's true it kinda helps support my theory that Micheal may have helped himself check out of this life.
