I was having this convo with my friend and I was saying that if a girl/guy is the type to just meet someone and have sex with them the same night, they might as well use there ''liberal'' attiude to get further in their career. My friend looked at me like I was mad but I was explaining to her that I wasnt endorsing it, I was just making the point.

anyways, do you agree with my viewpoint or is what I'm saying just another form of prostituion. Do you know anyone who has slepped their way to a pay rise/promotion or someone who has being promised this only for them to be shafted

some girls are very loose with their sexuality. They can go to a bar, see a guy and sex him 20 minutes afterwards. These types do exist and the way I see it, you might as well use your ''power'' lol, for good

That's good for them, but i doubt the lacking morals will last forever-I don't know. But it does not naturally follow that just because they did it once they HAVE to do it again and it could be that once IS enough to get to get what they want.

The way I see it is anyone that sleeps their way to the top ain't gonna be staying there for too long. If the "affair" ends the gal is either gonna go back to being a secretary or she will have to find a next job. Even if the "affair" is still in full swing a few mths down the line, does the gal actually know what she is doing? Does she have any skills and experience relevant to the position, or is she just good for laying on her back and spreading her legs? And what if a work colleague finds out and reports it, or spreads it around the office like they work for the sun newspaper?

This was kinda happening in my work place, a colleague of mine was going out with our supervisor, which is forbidden because it causes conflict of interest. The gal was rolling into work late, they would go on lunches together and come back late, she would get a lift home from him, and if she made a mistake at work she wouldn't get pulled up on it. Gal had it proper cushy, at first they were acting like nothing was going on, but they went public at another colleague's birthday do. She has got another job now so she left the other day, just as well.

If I can't get a promotion based on my skills, qualification or experience then I'm not gonna try and get it any other way. I'm not gonna play the race card, or the sex discrimination card, or the sleep my way to the top card. I'll either bide my time and wait for another promotion to become available possibly even better than the first one, or I will find myself a next job.

To me it wouldn't be any different from being a slapper then, their not selling their body for money, but they are still offering their body in exchange for something else. They are lazy, want everything handed to them on a plate, have no morals, no knowledge of work ethics, totally unprofessional, and how are they expected to be taken seriously after that?

At some point they won't be able to use their body to get what they want, so they will have to start using their head and drawing from the skills they should have used in the first place.

I always figured that people who use sexual favours to get what they want or toscale up that ladder in their careers were more or less selling their souls and loose all sense of dignity,self respect,and integrity

But they may not look on it that way and may not even care.

If they,'get toa point when they can't use their body any more', then they'll stop!

Because its about them and not about you, maybe all the name calling won't stop them; they probably already decided what they are about and know what they are doing, but are going to do it anyway!


Personally, because I would NOT like to know that someone got a job over me through this method, (akin to nepotism, I would say), but that would be my main objection against anyone trying this.

I agree with athaba, I'm surethat the person who is sleeping their way to the top is quite aware of how unethicical it is, but I doubt that they really care. You don't lose browny points in life just because you've slept your way to the top, The angels at the gates of heaven won't bar your entry just because you were a slapper. I would reckon that a large amount of people in postions of power have got theirvia illicit means and they sleep very soundly at night in their mansions. who gives a damn that some poor beggar who is more qualified than you did not get the job. This is a dog eat dog world, a person that choses to sleep their way to the top should feel no remorse or shame, you only have one life why scrimp and scrape at the bottom of the career ladder when there are fast-track ways of getting to top?

I think the operative was 'were' in her post, meaning if you was a 'slapper'but repented, then heaven would not bar you.

Which kind of meana personcould bein a win -win situation, because he/she could, 'sleep their way to the top', repent and STILL get to heaven!
