Look the gal said MANY not all.

What is the big deal.

Second that is from the same guy that stated that
"women sleep their way to the top"

indicating that women cannot hold their own.

and now he is whinging and wiping the snoot out of his face because of what stylish sisita wrote.

To hell with it.

@fazun: okay point understood, maybe I was tired, but lets leave insults out please silly woman LOLniceone.gif

Iwould just like to say something

Isaw the responses to stylishsista when she announced she was a graduate, the people who responded negatively were new members whoI really don't think saw stylishsista's topic that cashmoney highlighted.

They were only responding to her graduate topic, one of the negative posters replied on this topic and their response proved they did not know about herblack mentopic. If they did know thenI apologise.

Remember stylishsista hasn't been here fora long time so unless the members who responded negatively had gone through all the back pages of topics they would not have known what stylishsista said about black men.

Ithink some posters actually foget about it until CM jogged everyones memory.

@Sista Girl

I know you mean me - who else could you mean?

First of all where did I post anything good or bad in Mrs Stylishsister thread?

If you're gonna make accusations let's have proof?

What exactly did I say?

Give you a chance to answer before things get unfriendly between us.

does that really justify her not being congratulated for an achievement? or does it warrant something as extreme as this.

Can we not say well done BUT I don't agree with what you said so so and so

Does it now make her an enemy? does it mean we will agree on every topic, some topics I agree with someone, some I don't .Isn't it the normal thing to do

Don't judge someone for one extremely stupid statement she made, that stuff is better left for kind in the play ground. reminds me of primary school, I'm not talking to you because you said this about my father and then persuading the whole school to keep malice with her....LOL

At the end of the day, it is all about context, those guys still shouldn't have responded in the way they did, but i understand (if they had seen her comments previously) why they did. Remember this thread was inspired by the comments made to that sista. Which many of us put down to jealousy, but after reading her comments about black men, then many of us are forced to see things differently.
I thinkher achievementsare goodthing for her, and should be celebrated. But on the otherhand,we can see it in this way. Imagine if you have failed your driving test 8 times andsomeonelaughs after you and puts you down for your lack of driving ability, then theytell you they've passed their driving test first time, and want you to come out with them to celebrate! Do you celebrate with them, or cuss them for putting you downall that time? Its a great achievement for them, but their past comments leave a bitter taste in your mouth!

Quote:
I'm not judging her, she said something foolish, which may or may not have led to her being put down. Rightly or wrongly, if she didn't make those comments in the first place, then she may not have got put down.
Quote:
She's not my enemy, but with those types of comments, you have to wonder what the hell she was thinking, when she came on a black website, and started talking such nonsense!!

What an interesting turn of events. I don't think this thread was started to focus on that one said person. But anyway jealousy and envy.

Being envious can inspire/motivate you to be just like the person you are envious of - negative or positive depends on what you look up to as an individual.

Being jealous can consume you and you can become bitter and hateful.

But each to their own path I'd say. Can't hate a man for being above you in position in society or wealththat is just what you perceive as betterand can't hate or look down on people who you believe are below you just because YOU perceive it as less. Its all about INDIVIDUAL perception just because it is so, doesn't make it right or better either way.

What an ideal world???

@ rfyw I was not talking about you,I was talking about the people who responded in the first thread,I went back and the posts were deleted.

All I was saying is that people responded negatively not knowing about her previous topic. cashmoney pasted it here, then everyone thought the negative responses were because of stylishsistas topic, but they weren't. Then we all were like "oh so that's why they said what they said" when the responses had nothing to do with that (her old topic). That's allI was saying.

@ sista, obal85 havs been here since time began and I think it was personal. Thats why I brought it up. If RFYW has said what obal said I would think it was just the topic and wouldnt have bothered.

sofresh, I asked what was wrong with sleeping your way to the top? I never said women do that.

@cashMoney, ok, I understand now.

WhenI read the responsesI thought Piscesman and The traveller were just responding to the topic.I thoughtthey did not know about stylishsista's previous topic.I then said maybe they did respond negatively because they did read it.

If they had said we don't care about your degree stylishsistabecause we know what you think of black men thenI would have understood their response. But there was no explanation so manyput it down to "hating" and "jealousy" etc

wasn't one of the reasons this topic was started wasbecause of those negative reactions? Their responses were seen by manyas jealousy or just not giving a damn.

If they had just said why they did not congratulate stylishsista maybe this topic would not have started.

Now,I thought you pasted stylishsista's comment to show everyone that maybe the negative respones were because they had read her topic,so their response had not been due to jealousy. Also to show all the members who congratualted her to not be too quick to pat her on the back as this is what she thinks. IfI am wrong thenI apologise.

AllI was trying to say is the responses I read did not explain why they had no praise for stylishsista. If the posters had said whyI would not even have posted.

A few of us after reading what you pasted then thought oh, I see why they responded the way they did andI was trying to point out that maybe they didn't see her topicas it did not look that way to me.

Again ifI have mis-understood then feel free to correct me.
