It seems that this programme is out to prove that it aint just white folks that are racist and that racism can be found in even ethnic communities. Looking at this website and certain peoples attitudes towardssome communities ie somali's just proves this fact.

they mentioned this on "this morning" today with darcus howe discussing it. he said basically his show will look at the divides between 2nd geneartion pakistanis and west indians and somalians.

the show is coming on far too late for me during a working week. so i may not be able to watch it. i hope someone takes note and lets me know.

truth of the matter is that their's been tensions between different ethnic minorities for years.

i remember the gangfights between blacks and asians and that was in primary school.

even people from the caribean used to war with each other until they realised they had to join together in order to survive.

seems you university educated people don't know what you're talking about.(again) you sit there in your decent houses with your decent jobs thinking you know it all.

tensions between different ethnic minorities have risen because they are competing between themselves for scarce resources. they are not competing against the white man. they couldn't give a f*ck what the daily mail thinks.

I have been following events in South London for some time now and what the caribean population had been up to has been despicable, the biggest killer among young somalis has been the caribean community. For a long time somali men, women and children have been the subject of intimidation, beatings and killings until a certain generation came on the scene. Young, defiant men from a certain place in Somaliland known for a firebrand courage have arrived and meeted out the same actions on the caribean community that their people had been victims of. It was then that caribean men, women and children started to be intimidated, beaten and killed to the point now where if you watch the documentary (even though darcus spares his people most of the actualities) you will see these people speakng the words of the bigot. 'I wish that they would go back to where they came from', 'these people are animals', etc trip lightly of their tongues. Everyone barring the caribean community is knowledgeable and honest enough to admit that a massive injustice has been done to these somalis and retribution is in full effect.

Sorry not impress... It seems to me, by presenting this documentary, it is an attempt to disrupt the community on a whole. It's sounds like they are trying to combine the 'ethnic minoritycommunity' and call us more racist than white people.

Asians, Whites, Blacks all have a right to say what they think, I'm not at all shocked by what was shown, because the show was probably well edited to make sure it hits cord with the viewers... Also the title of the show did not seem to have any relevance with the show it's self and was probably made up in a board room by a group of Black, white and asian marketing guru's.

Yes I am sure most of us are aware about how people think about other people and to sum it up in one show is a recipe for disaster.

If anything Mr Howe did more damage than good, I bet there are a few people rubbing their hands at this show with delight....

He makes it out like the attacks are more worst within the 'ethnic Community' than from the white community... just for reference, Nottingham just held a demonstration against racist after a Rasta Man was attacked by a group of white boys and stats showing their is a sharp rise in racist attacks of this kind...

What is disgusting drunkmonkey is that WE do not learn, and still give these people our money to insult us.. You cannot blame him as he does not want to be seen as being biased towards Asians. Thats the rule of being a television presenter, you have to sit on the fence and do not take side. If the asians are really bold enough, they should come to a predominantly black area like south east london (Peckham, Brixton, Camberwell etcto be precise) and racially abuse blacks to their faces, i can guarantee you they would not live to see the next day. Asians can say whatever they like about blacks in their private homes and get away with it. I see them at uni, both their males and females would not dare look at blacks in the face let alone get the courage to racially abuse a black person. What can i say about the somalis and the west indians in Woolwich? Thats beyond my comprehensionbro.

Why do you say its true Khalil?? I live in an area of London which is mainly Asian and large numbers of them are strung out on Heroin. Standing in the stairways or under the railway arches "chasing the dragon" do you know what Im on about? They stand about on road in big groups all day doing bugger all but setting fire to the cars they stole and generally mashing people up. Obviously they arent all like that but neither are we. Why didnt the program show us these Asians?

Darcus showed a wealthy group of Asians and didnt balance it by showing a wealthy group of blacks. He showed them successful and us moaning. HE and HIS docummentary FURTHERED the beliefs held by those Asians (and you Khalil) instead of challenging them and showing them to be the views of shit that they were!!

The whole show had no substance Mr Howe was preaching about how depressed he was about the divide bewteen minorities in the U.K yet his show did nothing but to fuel the fire. All he did was to find ignorant people from the various minorities presented in the show and promote the stereotypes of 'blacks are lazy' , 'somalians all look the same' etc.To me instead of helping tosolve an issue hehas added toit. That Asian guywas making him look like a boy taking him tothat gatheringwhere Darcus just danced while the man insulting black people. He could have schooled the guyon the achievements of west indians and the reason for failings and so on.Yes the dividebetween the minorities is anissue which needs tobe resolved but I would say if your going to do a job do it properly instead of some two bit programme.

He made an elderly black woman look like a bitter old lady, a blackyouth who had a bad experience look like a foolish miguided boy, muslims who were celebrating eid to look troublesome and this is just the tip of the ice berg. Wouldn't it have been more productive to present theimage of the divide, explore it and present people whodismiss the stereotype ie. thelazyblack man and givepeople an understanding of who Somalis, Pakistanis andWest Indians truly are. To me this programme widenedrather than closed the gap.

I used to work in Woolwich Obal and I know what they are on about there, it not a joke. Somalis run that place, but the white Racists are just down the road in Thamesmead and the Asians are in Plumpsted.... All very close and quite tense. Everyone is racist against each other there.There arent that many Carribeans there and frankly good for them.... The Somalis (like everyone else in Woolwich)hate everyone and yes they do call blacks ******s not in a fraternal way either.

I dont know why the program makers never spoke to one of the Somali youths on road. Then he could have had a balanced view and seen what they said....they aint hard to find for goodness sake!
