For thousands of years, Celibacy has been used for growth and spiritual uses...

In this day and age, is there really any benefit to practicing it? And why?

Is it still seen as old fashioned or are people starting to realise its benefits (if any?) ?

All comments welcome!

Celibacy is DEFINITELY something to celebrate. I've been celibate a little over 2yrs and I can honestly say that being celibate has allowed me the chance to know who I am as a woman and what I want and will accept from the opposite sex as far as relationships and sex is concerned. Sex IMO tends to cloud the mind (especially if it's good) and most women tend to go against their better judgement when it comes to what they will or will not put up with in relationships. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm happy doing the masturbation thing. Don't get me wrong from time to time I think about the real thing but it usually passes.
