Just wondering.....
Is anyone currently in love?
How did/do YOU know when you were in love?- Were there magical violins and flowers (or do you not suffer from dilusion?)
Does anyone believe in love at first sight?
Is your tale of love tragic or happy.
All stories appreciated.

I felt it in the depth of my soul I met the love of my life in Tesco...in the frozen dessert aisle.

Very happy the love of my life was on two for one offer in Tesco...God bless Haagen Daz Banoffie Pie Ice Cream, my life is richer for having you...you taste so good with crumble...will it end in tragedy...potentially...the 2 for 1 offer is ending soon...and our relationship will probably end...you see there is a price for love...

@ An_Advanced_Spark
Sorry, couldn't help it...just one of those mornings where I feel like being silly...
But on the real, I do believe in love and without seeming like I am giving it up to lots of people...I love too many people, not just my partner, but family and friends aswell. I get love from too many places so I would rather say that I am in love with my life...
...I personally don't like the notion of 'romantic' or 'western' ideals of love as they tend to be based on manipulation or have unrealistic levels which are impossible to maintain...leaving a lot of people disappointed...The best love is based on mutual respect, care, and friendship...
Love at first sight is based on the superficial as you are living on the hope that the exterior matches the interior...many times I have been impressed physically by someone...only to be disappointed that in terms of whatI wanted in a personality they were lacking...I am not saying that it is impossible...but, I would be suspicious of anyone who loved me the first time that they saw me...
...I just think with Love you know when you know...
@Abissinia...I could easily blow my grocery budget on desserts alone...some of them are just too good
Blacknet Book Club coming soon...

Well me - I'm not in love and I'm proud tosay, I have never have been. I have known women who I've been very fond of but those ones I keep at arms length - or on hold, in reserve so to speak.
I prefer women I'm a little uncertain about - angry sex is so much more fun.A manshould have a little awe for his women and I do mean women.
I've had plenty womenproffess theirlovefor me mind you, two things surprise me about it
1) the frequency of it
2) the quickness of it
:-) Slurp!
I guessit'sthe searing machismothatmen who Runfromtheirwifesexhibit, that makeswomenyearn forjust the merepleasure of being next to a real man. :-)
In an age of poofs, trannys, new men, genderbenders, crossdressers, wimps, multiple babyfathers - male feminists (who are usuallly all of the above) ladies men (yawn) educated buppies (yawn even more)and menwho believe in nothing, a solid Runfromyourwife is a diamond in the coal so to speak.
That old school Man - that quietly confident Brother you see at the bus stop of a morning or at the car wash wipin down his car, or skipping like pro boxer atyour gym.
Yeh
This Brother doesn't make any noise - no big fanfare or peacock type strutting around, this is aBrother who answers all your questions without uttering a single word.
:-)
Thinking about it - I think I'm beginning to get it now.
It's the ordinariness and extraordinaryness of this Brother that messes you up.
When he scans your body with lecherous intent you know you should object but you like it. In that moment you will do anything -
you are told
and when you've done it you have to explain it as love.
Only you and Runfromyourwife will ever know about that one.
LOL!

Is anyone currently in love?
[line]
Yes, for the past 14 years
[line]
How did/do YOU know when you were in love?- Were there magical violins and flowers (or do you not suffer from dilusion?)
[line]
It started out as a quick bups, nice legs, a butt J-lo would die for, killer full lips and eyes that say "Me Moist"
Then over time, about 2yrs, I realised that she was the gal I wanted to be with not just because of the above but also because she has a wicked personality, a strong character and finally the killers:
1. I wanted her to be the mother of my children, and she wanted to and was able to put our children before her career. I cannot see the point in marrying a women then letting someone else bring up our children.
2. As a team we compliment each other i.e I am bad with money, she is good with money; Am good with the big picture, she is good at seeing the detail.
3. Somehow sheis happy to put up with my bad points and still Love me (and vice versa) i.e eating monkey nuts in bed, chomping like a gorilla while she is trying to sleep.
4. And most importantly I grew up and realised my manhood did not equate to how many womEn I had at anytime, but how well I looked after my children and my womAn.
[line]
Does anyone believe in love at first sight?
[line]
No, I think 99.9% of the time it's lust.

Not looking to jinx anything, but it's all good so far. Yes we have had ups and downs, but the downs have made our relationship stronger as that is when we most need each other.
Kinda soppy, but truthful, until I met my partner I never believed any of the above. Now I cannot believe that anyone could think differently.
Peace N Love BAC
