i dont know if this is old news but i just heard the afrocaribean population in the uk recorded0 growth between 1995 and 2001, whilst the mixed race population mainly white and black were the biggest growth, and the african population also were the second highest growth of all races, if this is true why is the afrocarribean population falling, and does that mean interracial relationships are even more higher than we thought.

i really think its time the afrocarribeans stepped up the population explosion as we really cant afford to see our people decline whilst other races keep breeding.niceone.gif

Have you established that the thing you are 'worried' about is actually fact in the first place?
The point is not to go obsorbing every piece of anti-African, or negative-African information you are fed and then form an opinion without questioning or further analysis. What has 'self-hate' got to do with anything.

johnny, your figures refer only to the caribbean population of the uk who have experienced a 0% increase in numbers due to a massive tendency to marry/cohabit with white women. the black african population of the uk has risen markedly. the following extract was copied from the bbc's website and uses information from the ons, office for national statistics.


Data collected by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) between 1992-1994 and 1997-1999 showed that the number of people from minority ethnic groups grew by 15% compared to 1% for white people.
In its latest quarterly Population Trends report the ONS estimated the number of people from minority ethnic groups in Britain had hit four million - 7% of the population - for the first time.
The report said: "The age-sex profiles and the proportions of each ethnic group born in the UK are greatly influenced by the timing of the various waves of immigration into this country as migrants are mainly young adults."

Black (Mixed): 49%
Black (African): 37%
Bangladeshi: 30%
Pakistani: 13%
Chinese: 5%
Indian: 4%

Those groups who had been in the UK longest tended to see the least growth in their numbers.
Black people of Caribbean origin - who came to the UK in large numbers in the 1950s and 1960s - registered no growth at all.
But among black Africans whose immigration to the UK peaked in the 1980s and 1990s the growth was 37%.
That trend was also reflected among the Asian population with the numbers of people of Bangladeshi origin - whose immigration to the UK peaked in the 1980s - up by a third.
However the longer established Indian community grew by just 4%.

you have asked a question outside of the argument raised here. i have given an acceptable source pertinent to the discussion, the 4% growth among the asian community is not germane to the question of why there is 0% growth in the population ofone group ofpeople.

to answer your question the asian population generaly tends to marry their own race of people, this is a fact which is undisputed. an indian normally marrys an indian, a pakistani marrys a pakistani and a bangladeshi marrys a bangladeshi. there is not a large group within the asian population as a whole who are married to other than asian. whereas there isa significant tendancy on the part of caribbean males to marry/cohabit with white women. therefore your theory of a perceived negligible growth in their numbers being attributed to their marrying whites in significant numbers is incorrect. a 4% growth among the asian community is a considerable growth in their numbers as they constitute a large population in the uk similarly a 1% growth in the white population is a sizeable number of people.
