Remember when it was cool to say "Black is Beautiful?
" Yeah, that was a special time....folks were into consciousness and the vibe was to feel pride in your Africaness and your people.
Today, however, it seems like young blacks think it's ok to say that they are "mixed" or "biracial" and sometimes it's not what is said, but what is understood and whenever I hear Black people talking like this; subconsciously, what they are really saying is that they are not Black. At least that is what I hear.
I'm offended. Should I be?

Whatsup with some black peeps declaring oh I am mixed with Indian...my great/great grams was a white man? is like yo, wat dat gotta do with me or you, who does not even look mix, some peeps realy try too hard to beg it man, they make themselves look so ridiculous...
One my lawyerbredren always...me wife is off chineseconfused3when you see his wife you would not know the lady is mixed, unless she held up her hand and tell someone:? she looked straight up black, some peeps are realy a haver case.

they have to add I am 3/4 Afgani
and throw in
my mum has green eyes because of her great great great great grandad..... mum's sister was from Iceland
