Interesting so far, I like how they dicuss previous expeditions in terms of their bias and now talk of rewriting the history books.

I've read Chiek Anta Diop books and even read all over the web.

If the ancient Egyptians weren't black Africans (although maybe cosmopolitan) then what ethnicity were they?

I know nothing about Egypt, Sudan other than what I've haerd others say about it.

I believe Ancient Egypt is said by some African Scholars to have been a Black civilisation. This programme did not confirm that. On the contrary it ghettoized The BlackEgyptian dynasties and madeout they were mere copiers not the genius Builders of that Ancent civilisation.

But I guessthat's better than the complete denials that were the order of the day before.

Kush spwaned kemet so many of the monuments and religion would of been revived..the pyramids..the fact that we were reclaiming and taking back what was ours.. he had the cheek to say that the Ehthipians of old took instruction and influence from kemet.. no doubt there was limited infusion.. but Kush brought Egypt not the other way around.

The Destruction of Black Civilisation needs a similar programme.

Yes RFYW I agree, they started off well but descending into doing what they were criticising previous archaeologists for doing. Namely looking at things from their perspective and being affected by their own bias.... but as you say, better than outright denials.

Yes bro. I think the English call it arse about face. The fact that many of the customs of Kush were identical and indeed preceeded ancient Egypt. Blacks have been mumifying our dead for thousands of years before Egypyt or even Kush.

But it still was good to see what is the scholary opinion that it is the heart of black civilisation in more detail. I have not seen any evidence of the extrordinary Kushite/ Ethiopic civilisation. Without them me and you would not exist bro. It was good to see the land of all our ancestors.

My qusetion is who is doinga documentry about Kush and ancient egtian civilisation from an African standpoint. A serialisation of Proffessor Chandler book The destruction of Black Civilisation is needed now. "Roots" needs the other side told.

Interestingly the same thing happened in my own country of origin Mansamusa.

In present day Matebeleland lies Great Zimbabwe, an immensestone fortress and castle and the ruins of a city around it. This thing is hundreds of years old and obviously predates the white man in Africa.

When the whiteman (probably Rhodes or Livingston) "discovered" it they denied its black origins (yes I know.... in the heart of Africa) and came up with wild and crazy stories as to how it came to be there. Any explaination was acceptable to them except the most obvious and simple one lol Only after independance common sense was restored, its a tourist attraction you shouldnt be allowed to leave the country without seeing trust me.

Like in egypt today, some white people would rather attribute the works of the ancients to aliens from space before they say it was black people... the very idea is so foreign to their thoughts it belies belief
