i think it raises a poignant question as to what direction politics is set to take on the world stage. its funny though as me and my friend were saying that africa is next to feel the wrath that is bush. what do you guys think

PROPHECY FULFILLED?


A copy of Harold Arthur's Letter to the Editor last month.
ARMED WITH HIS placard, Harold Arthurs of Portmore, made his way to THE STAR offices yesterday to remind us of his prophecy of President Bush's win, that he made last month.
"Let us turn to Jeremiah 51:13, 51:59, Daniel 4:32..." said the 51-year-old supervisor of the Jamaica Post, as he excitedly shared 'the word' while clutching his placard, 'U.S.A. in Scripture'. These scriptures, he said, were obviously in reference to the U.S.A. and George Bush.
Arthurs, who had written a letter to the editor on September 22, 2004, entitled 'History shall repeat itself', in which he had predicted President Bush's second term in office, states that he is not "a prophet, or a preacher, just a man who studies the Bible" and has been studying since the destruction of the World Trade Centre, September 11, 2001.
'King Arthur' ­ as he is called by his co-workers ­ was quick to add that he does not make 'predictions' for fame, but because people need to know about the second coming of Christ. "True mi nuh do my ting fi exalt miself, but the people have to know that God is coming."
An occasional visitor to his Pentecostal church, Arthurs' next prediction is that "the next country that Bush is going to invade is Syria, and then he will move on to North Africa...and after Bush comes out of power, there will be a new world power, and that is the European Union or EU."
Sensing that he had achieved his purpose, he folded his placard of prophecies, and left THE STAR with a, "Let everyone that readeth understand."
