I know this will be a thorny issue but again we will have to talk about it and have a different opions on the same.Now here in UK the whole concept of Patriotism among black people is not rooted as among African Americans in the states and this goesback several decades antil now whether its kids at school who have to say a pledge of ellegiance or poor blacks who are more than happy to rally around the flag and even artists as well as talk show hosts..but as to AAisnt it ironic that they are targeted by the system to join the army fight for America and its ideologies world wide...

I think you can add tribe,race or ethnicityto that definition to some degree.

Coltrane, I'm a die-hard blackamerican patriot.Why? The u.s. is home for me, man! I'm many generations firmly rooted in american soil. This is the land of my fore-fathers and future children. I don't have a carribean island or nation in africa to fall back on, you know! You should keep in mind that although whites are currently the ruling-class of american society, this by no means stipulates that they own america or that blacks or non-whites don't have a stake in america's future or destiny. We've as much or more blood-sweat-and-tears invested in america.

I am more worried about the tidal wave of Blind Patriotism in the US and seems the target again are Blacks regardsless of their status..from Oprah to the projects in Ohio
