I happened to catch Miss World 2004 on tv last night I haven't watched this programme in years. What I found astonishing is the fact that this contest allows plastic surgery it was very obvious that some of the ladies had fake boob jobs and lip implants. Also if anybody else watched this I can't believe the state of this contest and what it has amounted to most of the ladies looked like glamour models and pron stars and were not too far from the likes of Jordon interms of looks plus far too many were caked in makeup that you couldn't even determine their natural beauty in my opinion.For the black contestants its a shame many went way to far with the weave business and a few with the make uo I mean look at Ms Zambia look at the amount of makeup





Surprisingly I watched it to the end and I thought the following were very beautifulon seeing them for the first time ESPECIALLY Miss Ghana

Having said all of that how they looked on tv is somewhat different to how they look on the website but I still stand by Ms Ghana.



I sorry but you know Maffy don't mince her words but I thought that Ms Jamaica and Ms Turks & Caicos looked like someone who was picked from Brixton or Peckham market . I am not saying these ladies are ugly but just rather ordinary.

I also found that the oriental/asian ladies showed some natural beauty as well without caking themselves in makeup like many of the West and Eastern European ladies did

Ms Korea appeared very natural with minimum makeup.

Thats all I remember the rest I think I fell about laughing at.

p.s I should add that I don't usually support this show but it did make late night entertainment in the laughs department. Lol

Man, that Ms. World website is pure garbage.

I went by what I saw on tv whilst they were on the beach and camera was close up I mean I saw heat rash and everything on some of the sisters. Ms Trinidad and Tobago looks beautiful in the picture but she didn't to me when seen on TV. Just like Ms Nigeria look so much better on TV than she does in her picture.

Ms Kenya was pounting her lips too much and acting like a glamour model I didn't feel her at all which is a shame because she is the first one I was looking out for because she didn't have any weave. You would've have to see it to see what I mean about the way she was acting really off putting to me. They got down to the last three with Miss USA and Miss Dominican republic and Miss Poland.

Miss USA was a light skin girl who resembled Vanessa from Sunset beach. Quite pretty.

Miss Dominican republic was absolutely stunning and when they got to the last 15 I didnt see how they couldnt vote for her. Tall and built like a woman (not a stick) and with such nice smile..

Miss Poland. Any average white girl I see on the train every day. Nothing remarkable at all and she had bad skin (spots). And a whole heap of make-up.



I thought for damn sure Miss Dominican republic would win that, (how could she not?) but you know who won right?? LMAO

Anyway. Cant get upset over silly things lol

At the beginning I though Miss China would win (it was in China) and she had so much support. Of all the sisters on the actual night Miss Nigeria looked good *would have been better without a fringe) Miss Tanzania was criminally underrated and Miss Antigua looked special too. Oh and you should have seen the talent part... Miss Barnados was doing African dance.... wooooooeeeeeee that was fun!!

MISS WORLD 2004 is MISS PERU, Maria Julia Mantilla
The new Miss World stands 5'8.5" tall and is 20 years old. She comes from Trujillo, the area which she represented in the Miss Peru pageant. She currently is studying at UNT to become a high school teacher, and also models in her spare time. Peru previous held the Miss World crown in 1967 with Madelaine Hertog Bell. Her parents are still in Trujillo, where well-wishers have been calling and stopping by to congratulate them. There will be a great party there today for the victory. .
