When a Friend tells U a joke about a Public figure that everyone in the near vicinity on the Train,for example,has heard of and can relate to are U the ONLY one usually laughing.......if its naturally funny surely some of the others privy to the joke/witticism wouldn't be able to prevent themselves laughing...even making allowances for Social "etiquette"....?

I normally (depending on my mood) have a small smile on my face but never LOL because then it looks like your eavesdropping.
