WHAT'S UP peeps. Few years I spent two years agoin Italy, and met some Africans and they all had one thing in common, they all get along very well and worked together very well and even look for each other when situation permits. For what I have seen and was told it did not matter if they did not speak the same languege, or from different nations. except where blacks make the majority does any one of you been such aplace. It's true Italy doesn't have as many black communitiesas in England or France so one can say it's due to often queted that blacks get a long as long as there are few of them.

Ok! is it the media that is fueling the lack of attachment between blacks in England. A lot posts here are about blacks not getting a long, specially those in the UK. Why is that?

Kyla, it seems no one wants to admit the problems that are going on between blacks in the UK, and as you havesaid it some of the posts in this forum say it so. As you also said it blacks in america get along for the most part, and I have have seen little racism between black communities in the states.

hmmmmmprobably stupid otherwise wouldhave known that it's not only UK posters who post on BN...thereforewouldn't have come to such conclusionsby just reading a few disagreements between blacks who could beliving inRussia and Japan.

The rift between the relationships among blacks have their roots in history. Here's some articles I found concerning these rifts between blacks.

Rughteousness is just hindsight, and stupidity applies to those who blind themselves from reality. Reality that there is lack of cooperation between blacks in the UK.

Blacks in America are overwhelmingly Afro-American (like 80% or so), the second largest Black group in America are Afro-Caribbeans. These two groups infact are pretty similar, since they're Diaspora-Blacks, share same religion, culture, and many the same language. Then a small minority are Africans. I've heard that Afro-Americans that live in areas with large Haitian populations, or African populations (like Somalis), don't get along so well. So it happens in the US aswell. just that in the UK half the blacks are Caribbean (from various islands, although generally get along), the other half are African (from various countries, from Senegal to Somalia, and many are muslim), so the differences amongst Blacks is going to be more apparent in the UK, due to the more obvious differences in culture/religion/language, and not such a shared history.

consider (Hindu) Indians & (Muslim) Pakistanis don't get along too well.The sameeffect happens with Non-Muslim Blacks and Muslim Blacks.

British Blacks are basically confronted with more differences amongst the black population, than American Blacks.

Well taken, and Very good. In the states, yes there are few who don't get a long and it's not the young, but the older generation.
