used to shop in Safeways, butnot anymore due to the following factors
[*]It's filthy
[*]The staff obviously hate it.
[*]The fruit and veg is now vile
[*]The fruit and veg choice has been halved
[*]There's an extra aisle of oven-chips and the like.
[*]The beers and wines have gone from excellent to ****ing shit.
[*]The queues are now horrendous.
nb:
What does anyone think about loyalty cards?
Do they simply provide the supermarkets with valuable information about our shopping habits/personal lives, in exchange for a few quid off occasionally, or do they represent a fair exchange of benefits for both shop & cardholder?

I do most of myfood shopping in ASDA (Limehouse), other than thatIoccasionally visitTesco, Sainsbury, Iceland and Lidl's for veg and fruits.
I do my clothes shopping in Peacocks, Atlantic. I have far too many clothes so only buy one or two items that are in fashion at the time and these two stores seems to provide this. For eg those fury waist coats that are in at the mo. Fashion changes too quickly for me to spend too much money on fashion fads.
Besides I have a New York trip planned for October/november 2005.banana.gif

loyalty cards are ok. some you get good stuff from. my boots card i can buy stuff with as i have that many points. Asda needs a loyalty scheme. in all they tell shops what their customers are buying, what age group buy what the most and then rewards you with things

Safeway/Morrisons cos they cheap and have a good variety (not sure which Safeway Coltrane is referring to)
Sainsbury when Safeway/Morrisons haven't got what I want
Tesco (but only online when I'm too lazy to go to Sainsbury or Safeway/Morrisons)
