I would have to agree...the only reason I agree is because there are so many things that are tempting while away on military missions that so many cannot say NO! I have seen the married people go one deployments and while out for 6 months, they take that wedding ring off and are "single" for that time period.....about 6 weeks before we pull back in, the ring goes on to get the "ring print" on that finger as if nothing has happened. I think that being in a military relationship, you take the attitude of "what goes on while deployed STAYS on that deployment"...don't bring the issues and the drama back home!

Why DOWN the military?? I mean I'm a member of the military, but in so does not mean that we agree with everything that goes on. Just like there are policies and issues and people have to deal with on a daily basis in their place of employment, people in the military go through the same issues. I don't mind people's judement on the service, however, it DOES affect the people(me included) when looked as in a certain light because of the job that I and my husband have chosen.

I'm not a soldier, so you won't EVER see me on the front lines, that is for the Marines and Army, so I guess, I won't be "killing" for the "white man" either......OH!! but I still work for him...just like you do....SAME DIFFERENCE two different jobs!

I believe it to a tee. Although the military train you to be morally upright, if the men and women do not have the understanding and willpower to be in a good marriage, somewhere, some is going to screw-up. They are far away from their families and since some of them cannot be with them, the next best thing is to hook up with another man or woman until they can come home. That is why there are so many Amerasian and Afroasian children in Vietnam because of that. I think about my own dad. Before he married my mom, he was engaged to a woman in the states, then the Army sent him to Vietnam. Then he came home. Quit the woman and a year later he hooked up with my mom. the funny thing is that a lady from Vietnam called to said that she had a kid by my dad. He denied it by saying that so many Vietnamese women said that just to get into the states. Maybe I would say that my dad would have said the same lines about my 20 years old brother who he denied also. They only difference was that she had his DNA tested 99.96 his. The lady said it's a boy. If that boy is still around he'll be 39 years old today. I would like to see if that lady's claim is true. I cannot trust my dad's claims any longer.

Sounds like pay-back to me....
Why should a soldier expect his wife not to cheat on him at home...when he's out raping and abusing women (and little boys) abroad?
