You have to answer this for me. Why do bruthas have to ride Caddys with the dents? You know what I mean the old short dawgs as they call them in the hood. LOL

Even more difficult to understand is why (a few) brothas ride around in very old, beat up jallopies, with chrome wheels and all the finishings. No kidding, I am acquainted with people who are unemployed or can't afford their own apartment, but they put hundreds of dollars--thousands even--into sparkly bling-bling for their POS cars. I asked one person why, and he said something to the effect of looking big and all, but I think he just looked like an idiot who blew 2 grand on additions to a car that should rightfully be in a garbage heap. Why not save up for a certified used car or something?confused3

Real Talk! Some classics are worth more than new cars? Take the 1967 Shelby GT 500 for instance. I love this car, itsclassic and hard to find. This car has been know to sell for 50k - 100k(If it's in good condition or has been fully restored).

Classics can be pretty nice investments considering you can sell them for the kind of prices. Plus older cars are easier to work on.

Yes, but there is a difference between a well-maintaned classic, and a piece of $h*t jallopy. And let me tell you, most of the geniuses spending large sums of money on "bling-bling" for their cars have those old POSs.

Safety:
The answer to your question is simple....
MUSIC VIDEOS.
Bruthaz around the country weren't interested in pimped-out old fashioned cars until they were made fashionable in videos by West Coast rappers.
Bruthaz weren't even interested in rims...much less those that spin..until they were promoted by rappers in videos.
Because the steel is black...the attitude is exact. - Public Enemy

No man this is not videos. Remember brothers were riding, dented cadillacs with primer and cragar rims on them for a long time. Then the vogue tires and the wire rims and they still had the dents, LOL 4 deep in a caddy leaning on all the doors primered with the dent with the rattle from a sound system radiating from the steel sounding bass out the trunk LOL
