Will someone plz explain what the hell is going on? After the debacle I heard on Galaxy radio on Sunday where to factions of the same movement the GAC (Global African Congress) Seem to be at total war with each other to the point of separating into 2 separate groups of the same name with each one claiming to be the original I mean WTF???
Talk about feeding fuel to the separatist...

@Twang fill me in bro. LikeI am missing big drama. But to be honest am I suprised not at all. I don't know all the brothers involved but I know enough of them to know I can't takethe Global African Congress seriously. Not as long as those individuals are involved, so am I surprised nope because those guys would end up in war if you put them to sit down in an empty room only a milk bottel on the floor and ask them to agree on what the object in question was.
Don't want to diss people who no doubt sincere. But it is not today i kinow those brothers and the outcome is the same ego politics with no serious strategy or maturity. If I am not mistaken this tactic to go after gays or constantly responding to them is one of the most foolish things I have ever ever seen and shows thesse guys no shite about serious strategic or tactical thinking. Gays must be rolling on the floor cracking up. And these people think they are going to be dealing with Caribbean governments and senior civil servants and educated people generally, never mind the masses. A joke ting...
So fill me in the details bro and let me hear the drama.

I think we r in a situation where you have opportunist, people who simply want to use the positions to gain some sort of power. For some of them, they have been doing what they would call community work for soo long with such minimum result, and i think with the appearance of GAC their so eager to maintain positions within it.
It sort of like the badge for their work. Thats what happens when you dont have democratic centralised leadership. The question that needs to be asked is how the people with those positions came into power. And if that is not determined by the mass membership then you this can not avoid this type of confusion when the organisation progresses.
PS: African Socialist International conference is happening this weekend 17th-20th Everything in there is democratically centralised. I know what happened on Galaxy wud put people off organising. But organisation is like da opposite sex, u might get offed by one but u r gonna need to if u want a future. Read the main resolution document of which the entire organisation all over the world would be built on, visit www.asiuhuru.org
UHURU means FREEDOM!!

What discussion of the work of the Global Afrikan Congress has there been in The Voice or New Nation, or on Choice FM, or on any of the programmes on BBC London hosted by Dotun Adebayo, Amina Taylor, Valley Fontaine, Jumoke Fashola or Eddie Nestor?

To MGL
I presume that you have made attempts to discuss this with these media outlets? If so, what has been your response? If not, why not?
To the moderators, surely, this is a different topic!( Black Organisations etc).
I'm sure you do not want to be accused and have to go through the palava of explaining yourselves as in this topic?

I am sick and tired of those who claim to be Pan Africanist always failing at the first hurdle which is getting rid of there massive over inflated egos where they continue to preach fake messages of African unity but fail miserably to practise what they preach at any given chance. The unity preached is usually subjected to terms and condition which falls within the confines of their particular organisations and as long as one subscribes to their ideology of what they or their leaders think is for the betterment of Africa then all is fine.
But what I other listeners witnessed on galaxy radio while back was an utter disgrace where leading members of an organisation both claiming to be the original were having words calling each other frauds and sell outs over the air. Now I really cant be bothered to go into the nitty gritty detail bcoz its irrelevant but whats clear was we ain’t learned shit from the past especially as they were all originally members of the same organisation (Global African Congress) now split into 2 different fractions both claiming to be the original airing there dirty washing in public are some people just to thick to realise the long term damage these sort of clash’s of egos cause?
Peace.

Twang forgive me, but it is really frustrating when you do not explain in any detail what you are talking about, many of us (myself included now), do not listen to certain radio stations or may not know who you are talking about so some background would be useful for context...

Kunjufu
To be honest the last paragraph is the gist of it I cant explain it more than that where separate members of the global African congress which is a pan Africanist organisation arguing over the air about whose party is the legitimate one and who’s is the fake. One half in the studio the half on the phone it was just pathetic that’s all.
Peace.

Is it any wonder why nobody takes them seriously? their 'representation' does not bode well with the (West) Africans from the Continent. When they bang on about Africa, I would like to know which Africa are they talking about? apart from the one in their drugged out state of mind? How these people feel if Africans 'mimicked' West Indians by donning a Rasta wig; flip flops; abig bright floral shirts and shaking morracas (spelling), they would be up in the air. I would like stress to these quote-on-quote 'Pan-Africanists' please, please stop talking about things you do not know about, you just make Black people cringe! If you still have to need to talk about African, make sure it has relevance to the modern day Africans and not your Alter-egos.
