He wants to focus his money and talent on...................you guessed it......SPORTS:P.My feeling is we have pretty much dominated to sports scenefor long enough,everybody wants to be a sports ownernow.Do you guys think Johnson is one of the worlds greatest black businessmen or simply a sellout?

He really never did well diversifying. All the BET spinoff proerties (cafe's, clubs) failed except the one in Orlando, I beleive.His ill-fated attempt to buy an airline was D.O.A.

I'm being a little facetious here. Though maybe not completely, since who knows, maybe some conspiracy theories are in fact true.

I'm asking this question about BET because how else can one explain the wall to wall vulgarity, mediocrity, vacuousness, blatant negative "bling-bling, thug and ho" stereotyping of Blacks on that channel? Is it possibly part of a grand racist strategy to not only affect the image of Blacks in the eyes of America and the wider world, but also to shape the very culture of Black America ( and hence of blacks worldwide)? (Remember the fried-chicken scheme in that movie "Undercover Brother"?)confused3

Seriously people, I cannot understand how Black Americans swallow this swill. In fact I can't understand how they swallow the entire swill of mainstream hip-hop culture, which seems to me like a few blacks (and their white backers) exploiting (and creating) stereotypes, then selling it back to their own people (as if it is something that is of them, and that they have a stake in). And so the gullible fans buy it, and feel good when a few of their number clamber on their backs to the top of world (that is to say - mansions with gold plated toilets and massive cars with massive rims) , not caring that while doing so these few are stomping on their heads, pushing them further and further into the earth.
