This is going to be a rant...I was watching the Property Ladder (UK TV) and i'm just amazed and confused by the sheer stupidity of some people..

Imagine you've got exclusive access to an expert of how the renovate, show off and how to sell property, A person with a proven track record on selling lots of property for big money.. Set against the novice who is just starting and knows nish!!!

So imagine last night the expert Advises the newcomer, don't shrink the 2nd bedroom by building a Corridor to the bathroom, the Expert said don't go for pokey little windows in the Kitchen.. Have a patio door and show off the Garden The experts say don't decorate the house you're about to sell in your personal taste make it neutral..

What does the newcomer who knows nish do, the exact opposite, the expert says don't sell the house at a certain price because people won't buy it, what does the Newcomer do sell it at a stupid price.. So low and behold, the said house can't sell five months later, the newcomer ends up selling it to a family member for cost price making nish!!

Why do people do that, if the expert who knows their stuff tell you the runnings what kind of stupid person ignores that ?

LOL Because people's first thought is "He/she don't know what he/she is talking about. I do because I know ... *fill in blank* "

And they wonder why stupid people never seem to be able to hold on to their money LOL

i wathc those property shows and people just dont listen. makes me laugh when they dont have and money for extras.

SafetyBlitz: Its like the American Idol syndrome.. you know what I mean you get these wannabee's in front of the panel telling people who have a track record of making serious money.. That they don't know jack!!

i was watching that show, a fave of mine and actually cringing as that stupid woman went her way through trying to devlop that house. first of all she paid too much for it in the condition it was in 175K???? am no expert of london prices and areas but did'nt she at least do her research to find out what the current trend was within that area, DUH. Then, what killed it was when she was having that argument with that plumber or whatever stupid, stupid, the bathroom OMG what right minded person would want a weird shaped bathroom like that? and pay 225K for it?

i despise people like her, they make me want to throw something at them for beingso stupid (hate that word), but stillshe was.

thats why when it comes to business areas like this black poeple need to step in, because there is a whole lot of money out there waitin to be claimed, and you dont need to be a rocket scientist just have plain old common sense.

The expert said DO NOT PERSONALIZE THE PROPERTY IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SELL IT, KEEP IT NEUTRAL.

so what did the woman do..................paint it pink to rass................put elephant head on wall...........................mosaic of a paint factory explosion on the floor.

did she sell it..........heck no....................has a hefty mortage of 600K

I suppose sometimes though it must come down to how you feel about things.

Not all'experts' have good track records.

But it sounds in this case, as though the advice given was sound. Surely anyone can see that reducing the area of a bedroom etc., is not a good idea in an ordinary size home?

Clearly not. lol!

Stupid people are vital, without them we wouldn't recognize genius and there we wouldn't have experts.
