... the people of Ivory Coast have decided to side with their legitimate elected goverment and not entertain the violence of the French financed and supported rebelss. The current "civil war" is non violent at the moment. No one is dying or being shot and injured. For all you who will come in here and talktalk about Africans being weak minded and killing each other, go fold up and suck yourself. It's not happening.

Thank you, DSP. It is great to see what the people of Ivory Coast are doing. They should be used as a model by all Africans in the future.

I agree with the premise but the long term argument is flawed. They need to kick the French out,but are unable due to the colonial shackles that keep them there. We should not be praising a lull in the fighting, we should praise peace.confused3

Kick the French out with what? Who's going to supply them the means to help them impose their sovereignty? Do you have solutions for that? Not being sarcastic, serious quesitons. They see their neighbors(my home of Liberia) and don't want to have the same results. This is as close to peace as they have gotten right now and they should be praised for that. One step at a time. Their principled behavior SHOULD be admonished.

DSP,
"Principled behaviour" seems more like subjugation. The alternative is the nation moving forward with its own mandate not one imposed from Paris.confused3
