You will need computers to run your company anyway so standardize on Linux and encourage your employees to do so.
The city of Munich and Deutsche Bahn, Germany's national railroad operator have chosen to standardize on it.
MacroScam plays techno games with their servers making it necessary to buy more expensive versions for more users. A 5 user server operating system is deliberately crippled. Linux sets no built in limits.

Interesting post.
you can encourage Black business startup where ever you have operations. like partnering to create stores that cater to employees, franchises, creation of new franchises that address the local culture and economy, Umbrarchist pointed out computers and Linux, it is free! familiarize yourself with it and break away from MS! You can sit on boards of local colleges and Universities and push for a relevant program, Big business controls politicians, yo can install progressive politicians encourage environmentally responsible practices and invest in the local economy hard and actually help people and earn a return!

If you already have capital then some of it can happen fast while the other aspects if you have the dough can take as long as it takes to construct buildings and hire qualified staff.
Say you have the assets of General Motors. You move to Haiti, with their bank account you can open a factory, go into business and partner with locals to build roads, build parts, accessories, parking lots. In the process you create jobs, provide a tax base so you own the politicians. You partner with the Gov to build a college, you determine what prgrams are important, you sponsor the public schools and raise the quality of life. When you bring business there stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, tourism picks up, and things if done carefully will upswing. You have to establish banks and a stable line of credit though.

What Baron_Samedisaid, is very interesting. However, if you cannot or do not wish to move your company abroad, why not recruit from abroad? You know from where .

Not only would you then be giving thepotential employeeswhat they to believe to be the 'better life', it could also perhaps create more entreperneurs such as yourself, as theymay havea better opportunity to become one.

Yes... I agree with Baron samedi... education and sponsoring are key. As sponsoring other organisations you will have much influence or a say. Buy many shares...Best off buying stocks and shares and investing in bonds... can't strictly rely on 'business revenue'. Use blacks to advertise recruitment... trust me, you will attract mostly blacks , many who feel they want a change of career... offer to sponsor MBAs on a 'year' out for 'exceptional employees... Also ... invest in property development and technology (two things which provide a continual return)...money is power... like Richard Branson you could go into 'anything' when you have the finance... (that man is everywhere) technology would be the best investment though... even if you could not take something very far yourself... sell the patent and then buy up many shares in the owner company who have the resources to develop it (only if you know it is going to be success though). ...... ....... ........ ......... ........ ......... ........ ......... ........ ......... ....... ........ ........ ....... ....... ....... ........ ........ ...... ......Start up a charity... and aim to have a branch in each country in Africa... African's may feel more encouraged to contribute if they know it is a FUBU charity organization. You could even set up this unique scheme where African's in the West and whomever have money could set up direct debits and give 50p a month to this charity... This is a small amount but there are millions of disaspora who would like the idea....it's a small amount so people may not mind....and they feel they would be helping those 'back home'which would in turn could be used to upgrade many 'destitute' areas and provide employment...they could become more organized and charge higher prices for their goods they sell to the west, in turn people would get paid more and benefit from a higher standard of living. This could also be increased to £1 a month, in time of drought, famine, and natural disaster as they have devastating effects. ...... ....... ........ ......... ........ ......... ........ ......... ........ ......... ....... ........ ........ ....... ....... ....... ........ ........ ...... ......Buy up AIDS drugs in an African countries currency... then they would be cheaper and not charged the extortionate prices they are. Or better yet, but up the patent for these drugs ( if the companies are willing to sell) and then make and sell them at your own prices. No relying on the West Would not have to rely on ' the white west' and take handouts and be critcised for when it is 'not enough'. This would be a very unique charity. Because of it's ideas...and would attract many black celebrities (for promotion and contribution) and in time , others to contribute. Also set up colleges and universities. Education and employment are key to making changes... but politics and unrest in certain countries may be a barrier.

Depends on what your definition of sellout is...Carver is a publically traded company and blacks own over 51% of the stock..The bank donates millions to black urban areas and has helped many poor neighborhoods in NY turn into middle-class areas. They dont seem like sellouts to me.They just dont get much publicity..
