I been doing some research for my Graduate degree on education. Bill Cosby's recent comments made me think about education and where does it begin and when does a parents involvement become unnecessary. Back when I was a kid we learned to read, write, and perform basic number functions at home prior to kindergarten but in the USA I've been finding that kids under/on the poverty line lack this prior to entering school and struggle going into the second grade. I'm basing this on the USA but I noticed certain info on some GCSE(not sure if it is correct) exams. So when does education begin, what roles should the parent play and how should education represent each respective community in a said country.

Brain stimulation starts at birth.

If children are kept motivated by curiosity instead of grades they might be independent self educators by 3rd grade with properly designed materials.

Euro-schools are designed to produce people that can be controlled by AUTHORITY not think for themselves.

Education should start in home, before a child sets foot in school; some form of education should always remain in home, after the child starts school, beyond homework.

The child's parents being uneducated is no excuse. If you have a TV, you get PBS(in the U.S.), which gives your child basic and advanced instruction(sesame street, etc.), they have many more choices if they have cable. Many uneducated people have raised studious children, they simply demanded that their children get the most out of their education.

These parents need to discipline their children; too many of these little brats know they can run over their teachers, and their parents do nothing to curve this poor behavior.

Education is the only way out of our current situation, for that reason alone, we should prioritize it. Beyond that, education can breed confidence; creating a healthy self-image.

Education starts with the mother, the child is exposed to the teaching of the mother. If the mother, in this case a black women does not teach her children about black history and African civilization. That child’s self esteem is going to hit the floor.

What is education?

I define it as the acquisition of relevant knowledge.

This brings up the question of: WHAT IS RELEVANT?

I had to memorize how to spell "antidisestablishmentarianism" in grammar school. How relevant was that? Then and now I regard it as totally useless.

Is the primary purpose of the paleface educational system to psychologically condition children to be subservient to AUTHORITY? Ever notice how many White people are really good at kissing a$$? LOL

Wow, graduate degree in education, I'm imprssed, I wish I were you. But education most definitly starts at home with the parents. When i grew up, parents saving for their kids education was unheard of in my old projects. If your grades were not high enough for a scholorshipor you didnt play sports, you were assed out. I will break the cycle and i will save money for my future kid's future.

Realbrother:

Kat, Don't make me expose you to those who don't know you! Your tirade into onedimensional thought is redundant and tiresome you armchair revolutionary. Anyone with one ear and limited vision can see where education is suppose to begin and the roles parents need to play.

You are trying to become my antithesis but all you do is ramble. Where are you counterfacts? Call the local Van Nuys CA school Dept and ask the Black percentage, ratio, proportion of the PTA, correlate those numbers to achievement. Look at PBS.org and check out the digital divide. Pick up a few books by educators on creating a successful student look at the power that culture has on learning. Do all this then come contradict me.

You have ove 177 posts and a vast majority of them repeat the same spiel about "self hatred", "becoming white" You obsess over superiority and inferiority and dread comparing with whites but here you wrote: "Look at immigrents where their parents don't speak English, do they not "read" and teach their children to speak English because they can't ? Of course not many of these kids can't speak Spanish or Japanese, Phillipeno etc. but they can speak English as well as any {u]White person[/u]. " So I'm Dumb and into whitening Black kids but you obviously use them as the standard to all that is successful. get a life
!

No wonder why most of you posts go largely ignored.

If you want to post give some real solutions that do not involve you getting paid from video sales or lecturing so we can more in a productive direction.

Hello Chubbichix:

Are you aware that in most states if a kid maintains a "B" average, does volunteer work and is active in school they can go to a state college or University for free? They offer the same in other states. This is why there is so much riding on parental involvement. Just as Vince Carter, Tracey McGrady, Labron James and Kwame Brown's Mothers pushed them through school academically and athletically and look at the benefits! we need to do the same for our kids. Watching PBS , National Geographic, Animal Planet, reading to them, setting up a quiet corner for them to do their homework, attending school open house, volunteering on days off, sitting and assisting them with homework will take a child far in life, it is called Educational socialization. Once you do these things they will in turn do this with their kids, siblings and you begin something lasting.

You are quite right Baron, education should start at home. I learnt to read and write at home with the guidance of my mum. Although we went to school much of the learning was actually done at home after school, in a relaxed, fun way.

For example:

Afterhome work anddinner, it wasa family tradition for one of the kids to read a chapter from a book. I remember spending all day looking for something interesting to read and practice reading it, so i was polished when I read it to the whole family. Ahhh good times, I wish all families did that, it really helps encourage kids to have pride in learning.

And when we do well in school, at the end of the year, my mum used to throw us a childrens party, complete with cakes, and everything.

Another thing parents did was send each and every one of us to summer school, which was great as it kinda gave us a head start on other kids. owerBy all means necessary… lol.

Realbrother:

Once again here you are the Spotlight junky attempting to divest attention from the lesson at hand and onto you. If you want to take cheap shots at my substance filled posts knock your self out, if you want to battle start a post called Baron and I'll engage you there. You are only detracting from solutions by the lay people with your name calling and jibberish. You want to sell videos, go on Amazon.com or Ebay, you want to be heard, write a book. In these scenarios you get paid and you build an army of followers.

As for your post, it is BUTT! And I've seen your created threads you have zero responses but I guess you would attribute it to self hatred, genetic inferiority or attempts at making people white. Get some new materials old man!

"So you want me to give "real" solutions that don't involve making any money or being able to survive ? Why ?

When you put money before a solution your intentions become corrupt, stupid!

Are the "solutions" less valid if Blacks make money off of the solutions or is the real reason why you don't want successful solutions is because you really don't want any solution that doesn't involve the destruction of the Black Race and an acceptence of YOUR solution which is that Blacks become White ?

Destruction? I'm giving free advice on personal finance that runs about $150 an hour. This helps people buy homes, cars, create a retirement, travel to Africa and get their children healthcare. You can't compare to this you are clearly beneath me Kicko. I grew up around panthers while you whore yourself to make special interest films that clearly please rightwing white supremists. You are 40+ I'm clearly younger than you but my Black empowerment resume dwarfs yours kicko! You need to stay in your place.

You can't even be honest about what your true agenda is (to make Blacks White). I'll continue to dog you until you accept, admit and implement the truth.

You remind me of the ADL, they did the same thing to another strong African mind, Tony Martin. I knew my day would come, just never figured it would be by an uncle Tom hollywood tap dancing bald faced Black Huckster.... Have fun, I will destroy yu again.

You can become educated and be an educator and productive person without hating, and destroying and killing off the Black Race."

You can't see me Homes, bottom line! 170 plus posts of the same jibberish! No wonder why you are single, I hope your kids live with their mothers!

you wrote:
"But you are simply WRONG in your assertion that Blacks are inferior to Whites, you are WRONG about your lying statistics that 12th graders can't read and tie their shoes (and chew gum at the same time).
"

Show me where I said this, show me your formula for this. Your old arse can't, bottom line. You wasted your life and you are bitter that Black people want to discuss how to prevent going your route of failure. Every thread you enter you say the samething. You are dead set on aversive behavior Kat. You are an old man, an elder and you behave in such a way that people won't listen to you. The only reason why I respond cause I know I can smack you around. I can already predict what you are going to say next:

"But you are simply WRONG in your assertion that Blacks are inferior to Whites, you are WRONG about your lying statistics that 12th graders can't read and tie their shoes (and chew gum at the same time).
"

You are pathetic! Simply sorry, good thing you are in Hollywood and not our classrooms. Uncle Tom/steppinfetchit you are rightfully where you belong! Keep cranking out those movies that white people love! Peace Ken Hamlin Kat!

Digital Divide my azz Black folks will be the first ones with digital televisions and you'll be screaming at how Blacks are wasting their money spending it in an inferior way.

Blacks spend 600 Billion dollars a year on "digital bullshyt" what in the hell are you talking about"

TRUE DAT! Digital sh!t all over the place and can't tell you what an electron is.

I told some woman on another board to ask most Chriatians what an electron was and see what they say.

She responded with: I know an electron is part of an atom in the nucleus...

I then had to tell her electrons weren't in the nucleus. She claimed to be a Christian. But people have expensive, sophisticated technology and no idea how it works. The schools don't teach the fundamental concepts about reality but make a big deal out of spelling words that are rarely used.

I payed $4000 back in 1970 & 71 to get an electrical enginering degree. I didn't get an electrical course until 4th semester. They started talking about Kirchof's current law which I had never heard of. But when they explained it I thought: "I knew that in grammar school." Kirchof came up with his laws in 1845. Physicists had not figured out the structure of the atom back then. I learned that in grammar school, tho not from my nitwit teachers. Kirchof's laws are obvious once you know about the behavior of electrons.

School is about White people that didn't figure out a damn thing for themselves dribbling out information to collect tuition. If Black people would share information about GOOD BOOKS with good explanations of IMPORTANT info we could blow away these info hiding White morons with delusions of intellectual adequacy.
