Tell me your fighting styles you are studying and what they are about.
I use to do TaeKwonDo and I got to a green belt but I did not like how you fought in there so I stop going. Am thinking about some boxing.

Did a bit of kick boxing, didn't really like it.....I thought it was to soft.
Then found boxing, and I have never turned back ever since, best training you ever going to get, get you fit in shape, plus the added bonus that your fist will get stronger and be able to break a few bones out there (though I won;t advice it).
Also a lil seceret, when you do boxing you find that you are more calm and also have more self control... so I'll say go for it.niceone.gif

I do Muai Thai Boxing the oldest of all martial arts. Don't mistake it with kickboxing which is a watered down western version.
Muai Thai gives you the fitness of a boxer, but the skills to defend yourself on the street if necessary. It's amazing what a Jab, knee and elbow combination can do to someone. The benefit of Muai Thai over boxing is that your elbows and knees are the hardest bones in your body. This means that you can be half the weight of Tyson but your elbow will hit harder than his fist, a real bonus when your only 11.5 stone (about 75kg)and 5 foot 10 inchestall.
Muay Thai also teaches you better close up skills and grappling techniques, ideal when you only want to restrain someone. Boxing is good in a ring and against untrained fighters on the street, if you watch UFC you will see there aint no boxers there.
TaeKwonDo is also only good in compettion not in the street. This is mainly due to the fact that it is a watered down version that is mainly taught in the west. It is geared to winning competitions not so much to defending yourselve on the streets.
However, if you are doing nothing then anything is better than that. I would recommend you spend a little time and check a few out, see which you might prefer. Also check out the instructors in your areaas a good instructor with the right message is just as important as any of the techniques you will learn.
