maybe not in this solar system, but when thinking how infinite the universe is then theres no doubt a highpercentage of chance that there are beings out there.
All life dosnt have to be carbon based. besides even if human came in contact would they know whats in front of them.
Anyways those pic of the aliens undergoing a postmortem are all fake. even the pics of the piramids on mars where done digitally. besides no offical statement that there were any piramids on mars or on the moon.
im not even sure the americans went to the moon in the 60s.

i believe there are other beings out there no doubt but isnt it, so that if they where here already we would have seen them? people just fake stories ever since human history things have been faked and i think that dead alien there is fake. even the way humans view thier own aliens are like humanoid and never see a possiblity that aliens might not look like that. the alien there was the job of some science fiction writer or whatever you wana call them.
concerning mars i might agree that there are some shapes on the surface that hints of a former civilisation and true i shouldnt listen to the media to officilaly annoucnce such findings. but until they go there and get a clear proof or we the masses experience somthing then i dont beleive. i am a sci.f fan sometimes and im so fed up of watching crap on discvery channel about lachupacabra or what ever its called, everytime they do a new documentary it all ends up the same no evidence or prove just bunch of assumptions with no backing. talking about aliens.
area 51, yes i think the us.army are up to something right, but we all know its just a base to test and creat thier new wmds or invincile planes if they have any.

Look at the factions and conflicts in the various governments here.
Which aliens might be here dabbling in human affairs? They might be the alien equivalent of the Mafia.
Trying to figure out the human bullsh!t is complicated enough. Until the aliens kidnap me I'm going to ignore them.

@Priestess
Some of what you mention reminds me of some of the stuff I;ve read in David Icke;s books. Are you familiar with his theories?

I think that there is intelligent life out there, however I don't think that they care too much for us. There are a few possible scenarios:
1) They are intelligent, however they may have not acheived faster than light travel/communications. Einstein's Theory of Relativity is a very hard thing to bypass given our current knowlege of physics. Without going around Relativity, it is nearly impossible to realisticly travel back and forth between various stars/planets. If they have not achieved faster than light travel/communications, then we will never know that anyone is out there because it could take centuries for signals to travel back and forth between planets. Some civilizations have come and gone in less time than that.
2) They have found workarounds for Relativity, however they don't see us as important enough to reveal themselves to us. They may look at us the same way we look at cavemen. We constantly bicker with each other on a planetary scale. We only recently achieved heavier than air flight (on a cosmic scale 100 years is a trivial amount of time), and have somewhat recently figured out nuclear fission. (However, we still have not figured out how to safely dispose of the radioactive waste.) We still burn hydrocarbons from dead plants and animals (a.k.a., oil) as our primary (and non-renewable) fuel source. (We haven't even figured out how to mass produce an all electric vehicle.) We have not achieved nuclear fusion, the only way to safely create the huge amounts of power necessary to run a civilization. The farthest into space we have ever ventured is the moon (only a few dozen people have ever even gone into space, most for well under a week at a time), it takes us thousands of people to support only a half dozen or so people in space (ISS, and eventually the space shuttle fleet again), and we have problems maintaining a functioning space station for more than a decade or two (we had to de-orbit stations like Mir and Skylab, and now the ISS has serious maintenance problems). We have not even figured out how to manage the most basic issues such as hunger, poverty, and various diseases.
3) They may already know everything that they want/need to know about us. They may also feel that we as a civilization are not ready for encounters with extraterrestrials. Many people can't handle the fact that there may actually be life out there. Some people wouldn't even believe it if they saw it for themselves. Deeply religious people will refuse to believe that any intelligent life exists anywhere else but the Earth. "First Contact" would incite worldwide panics, rioting, and destruction as everyone lost their minds. For now, it might actually be better for us to never even meet any extraterrestrials.
4) They could be hostile. In this case, they wouldn't see us as any kind of threat, and wouldn't even bother wasting any resources on "conquering" our measly little ball of rock.

@Priestess
Thanks for that info. I find this topic very interesting!
Having lived for a while deep down on the Romney Marshes I am in No doubt whatsoever that something other than us is "out there". It seems more mad to me to assume that we Are the only intelligent life in the Universe....and I use the word Intelligent loosely!
We once saw a host of small saucer shaped discs on Dymchurch beach one night. It seemed like they were showing off for our benefit. No I wasn;t under the influence of drink or drugs. It was Fantastic and there were about five people in our group who all saw same thing.
In that area people are so used to seeing strange things they dont make too much fuss of it. I used to have a friend who lived in a cottage opposite the old lighthouse in Dungeness. Dungeness is where the nuclear power station is situated, and My God the times we saw Ufo;s hovering around that place. Anyone interested in the subject should definitely take a trip out there...the place is Freaky.
I personally think its been great for Priestess to raise such an interesting and unusual subject on here.
