a guy at my work place quit the other day. he actually gave notice. But what was classic is that he sent an email to the entire mailing list and cc'd the management team to ensure they got to read it. now i know swearing is bad but he just got straight to the point.

comments on his leaving e-mail which he sent out 1 min before he finished work and left the building. call centres bring out the best in their staff.........

everyone was talking about this for days. management sent an email out saying swearing is wrong and that this individual is selfsih etc. but boy my workplace often leaves a bitter taste in people's mouth

Management should have had a word with you all, following your former colleague's appalling use of grammar and his diabolical spelling! I would normally let most of it slide, I'm lazy when typing too at times but for an office email, things like

being = being
there = their

simply can not pass without comment. That more than, anything is embarassing. If I were your boss LadyDay, I should put that on his reference... hmm

I wonder if he thought about that little detail? The reference!

Sometimes things go down like that, and more often than notthe companys deserve to get cuss.

Yeah could backfire with the reference thing so you need to remember that, but hey sometimes the risk is worth it and life always goes on.

well they dif threaten to take email from us. but they cant due to practicality.

dunno unless he is going to set up his own buisness................anyway that was funny so good luck to him, we need more raise against establishment and authority people like him.

they do watch our emails. you only have outbound emails if you have to contact outside the internal email address book.

this company is like a sweat camp or sweat shop or sweat factory.

they give you sweets when stats are good or exceeding predictions.

but yeah many people thought yeah he told them how we felt but hey thats life

@ LD - didn't think that that email was appropriate at all...and I did not see what was to be gained by it.

It puts all those left behind to essentially deal with its fall-out. And I suspect there was fall-out from management?

Anway, when it comes to business, I always follow the adage: "never burn bridges..."

5 years from now, LD, you may be the person interviewing him for a job with a new firm that you are with. Will you rememer his work...or will you remember his unceremonious exit?

Then I ask, would you hire him?
