Isn't this becoming a farce?
Why no 2 minutes silence for the far greater numbers killed by cars every week, for example?
war dead got 1 minute
The Tsunami victims got three,
my dead relative got none
I wonder who decides?
Is it the illuminati?

Coltrane - have you been reading dan brown?
At the end of the day, people who wanted to observe the silence did. And those that didn't didn't.
If you want to hold a silence for your dead relatives then do so, there is absolutely nothing stopping you.
Its obvious this is something that has touched so many people, which is why so many people stopped and observed it.
I do think its hypocrtical though to hold silence for the london victims and none for the victims of the iraq war, or the isreali occupation or any other war that has killed thousands.
But thats how it goes. countries care for their own and no one else.

Has anyone on the thread yet calulated how long we'd have to wait to remember Iraqi victims of a western inspired resource war?
I hope to god noone official from the Labour party sullied the occasion with their presence.
I think this is Ken Livingstonebeing led by Alastair Campbell who is up to his old tricks of getting the people to behave like sheep so that shepherd Blair can lead them around. Go out into the street at noon, stand still, and go Baaahhhhaaaaahhhhhh!

[size=3][font="Times New Roman"]I did not observe the 1 minute silence and to me the whole thing is going on for too long. I felt that I could not take part in such blatant hypocrisy. What about all the people the
