I wouldn't know from first hand experience, but I guess that it must be real hell to be a gay man or woman.Imagine the living terror of being locked into a topsy turvy view of the world, wanting to yet notbeing able to change your biological sexuality. Logicmust tell you that homosexuality is ultimatelyfutile... energy misdirected, and repulsive. I haveheared lesbians say that gay homosexuality repels them..so within your own community same sex is not accepted (but then I suppose lesbains' prejudice about their gay sistersis just anothervariant of straight prejudice.lol)
But I feel sorry for homosexuals.Despite all the laws and shifting cultural attitudes in their favour, the thought of the horror of the sexual act still send a cold shiver down the, um,spine. And Its that instantreaction among us straights that prohibits us from discussingGay issues rationally - we are afriad of being labelled homosexual.
Which brings me to the title of this post. Two posters Black_Power and Zaouli have labelled me gay from just reading my opinions on the matter. At first I was amused, but when it was repeated I became paranoid. What did I say???? And anyway,is it rational to label someone as Gaysimply because, though in the great anonymity of the web, they took a stance on a particular issue? Then it dawned on me: thats how bigots reinforce their views - by instilling fear and conformity.
I dont understand homosexuals - but I am fascinated by Nature. In fact Iadmire people who have the ability to go beyond the common place, to see my reality through alien perception. In the same way I often sit andwonder how white people realy see black people; how women really see men;how animals see and interprete the world around them;what motivates psychopaths..how do they get to cross that line. Fascinating.
To question is the beginning of wisom. Tonot face your fears is to give in to those fears and your neighbours fears and lock yourself into, like, a perpetual darkness and great ignorance.
