@bele
I do agree with you, marriage should be encouraged definately no doubt about it. However, not everyone thinks the same. The question is how to do it.
@so fresh
Hi hun,
I hear what you saying about the women being able to divorce and everything but....
I still dont agree that men should have more than one wife. Let say the first wife is sterile fine, what will the second's wife role be?? Just to be a baby machine. If having kids is so important then people should find it in their heart to adopt. The prophet Mohumad (SAW) said that one should only take more than one wife if they are treated fairly. Most men cant do that.
Furthermore, if it is ok for a man to take more than one wife than a woman should have that same right in my oppinion. Us girls have our own these days, marriage should be used for trust, love and respect. Not just for security. If I was sterile I would want my husband and me to adopt. If he needs to shoot his eggs at someone Id rather he did it after we divorced. The days are over where women need to put up with that type of Bullshit
PS My cousin brother has two wives and I think he is an idiot.

DSP,Let's look this without emotions.
I can see why many see marrying many wives as wicked practice. There are many reasons why having many wives (will not do personally)could beallowed on my books:Multiple marriages is useful in case the women isn't sterilized is limand can't give him the chance of being a father; the manhas the right to marry another wife, and leaving the choice tothe present wife if she wants to stay with the marriage or not. Also, if she is getting old/war time where there areshortage of men and so on. So the women have choice to say no if she doesn't see it right. One should never do this for physical pleasure, where in the out-of-wedlock case it's all about pysical pleasure.
Why U all having hard time understanding howawful this is? Marry the woman if you want to have kids/love her, andyouwomen muststop blaming us for your own making.

didn't know that came off as emotional confused3 would take some level ofsensitivity to recognize that my friend. Anyway, whether you agree or not you can see how sometimes the motivating factors can be similar.
