Actually my first few posts were absolute crap, I would say i actually learnt to write better and more intelligently here on blacknet...

When i first came here Blacknet was very hostile..I know some peoplethink its hostile now..but trust me there was no moderators thenand no rules whatsoever.. It was a complete free for all, so I personally found it very very scary posting here..my first few posts were absolutely hammered..by all and sundry..

I was sweet and genuine and all the mean people came out to attack me...

I was attacked by Obal85, 'nuff said LOL

I had justed started posting on MBs just before I came to BN.....so I was fairly new to the game. On BN I was attacked by Original X, Voodoo Queen, Kunjufu, Ijexa, and others whom I cant remember right now. (But these were the memorable ones!)

However, having been baptised in fire on Nigerian MBs, BN was a walk in the park!

Well i remember mine (just about) - Mafdet said to just jump in cos i wasn't really sure what to do or what to say. There seem to be topics that had been going on for some time and i hadn't a clue what they were on about but i posted anyway - i must had sounded like an idiot lol!

I remember Mantings saying that he was beat down by Mafdet& (I think)Happiness LOL! But he came back!!

In agreement with k though, my writing was atrocious - not too hot now - but even i can say it hasimproved.

Efengee I only recently found out what a troll was lol!

LOL I remember two posters who called themselves Infamous and Mad Skems who thought they were the original bad boys ofLondon. There was no talking to those e-thugs because if you dared disagreed withanything they saidthey'd come out with more vulgarity than Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy combined!

I think every BN poster was a victim of those two!

The first time I got on a message board depending on who's board it was), it was business as usual far as looking at various websites. When I came on BLACKNET , I came on it by accident. Initally I wasn't sure about, but it was different because unlike most websites that dealt with Black people, this one came from England and eventually , the black diaspora. I found it ti be rather interesting because some people told about themsleves, their countries and how things were in their homelands. I don't do chatrooms, but I was looking at their message boards. Intially I was skeptical on writing there because it was coming from England and I wasn't sure that it meant paying some fee or something to write on there, but I was assured that it was no problem and the rest is history.

It was back in the late 80s on bulletin board systems, before the internet, SHOCKING, I KNOW!

I think I was on some board in the suburbs with a bunch of teenage White boys and they were complaining about their mathematics class. They were saying that the square root of negative one was useless garbage. So I explained to them it was used in electrical engineering to compute phase shift in a signal. They junped all over me. Called me a fossil, talked about my teeth falling out. It was hilarious.

So I tracked them down and shot them.blkdevillol
