Next time I visit London/home counties I want to eat in an African restaurant, any country but I would prefer details on sub Saharan as I've eaten in a Moroccan place before. Anywhere in London is ok by me. I love trying new foods and I'm certain African food will be delicious./ Why is it there are not more of them. Huge market out there. My track record is piss poor here but this is a genuine request for real info and not a lecture in the white mans evil ways, please.

As ever your cheekiness is jarring... 'lecture about white mans evil ways' have to stifle a big yawn...

anyway.

Old Kent road, near the corner of East street, towards the flyover is a good Nigerian/Ghanainone....
A better but slightly more expensive one is just the other side of the flyover near the BP petrol station.

I can't remember the name of either...

Thanks DM (I knew I could depend on you!)...I will try and find this restaurant next time I'm in the big smoke. Tell me please something about the food. Spicey, pungent?...textures, what meats....lots of fish I imagine, coconut milk. One every high street we have Indian and Chinese but hardly any African, when you think about it, it makes no sense. Any chance you can try and remember names of these two places?...or someone else can shed any light on this?

Black Power, if one is going to Devon, one should be sampling Cream teas, strawberrys and scones, NOT fish and chips!!
