Oh comes barbers always seem to teef you when you have a hair cut, does anyone have their hair cut in Manchester? these barbers are so teef when I have a hair cut they are always charging me different prices for the same hair cut. One rule is never take the money out of your pocket when you've finished having an hair cut because if they see 10 pounds in your hand they will charge 10 pounds.
I overheard two barbers talking broad patwa I think they thought I would'nt understand them but they had just teefed some guy. The one barber said to the other "year man me just teef him rarse, yes sir please come again" any they were laughing about it.
Now I stand up for myself and argue the prices now when I go in I hear them talking about me how i'm faysty and "no man me nah cut him head you know dat bwoy dehtoo renk man".

I suggest you stay away from the 'new barbers' that seem to have sprung up.
Try Mohammed's on Princess Rd

If not then be advised that the standard price for a fade and shave is about 5-7 and NOWHERE is it 10...

To be honest it is cheaper in Manchester...My son used to always head straight for the barbers when he went home, because it was cheaper than Birmingham.
BTW there is also Dougies who as been around for decades but not sure where is new shop is (possibly Claremont Rd)

Yardie Barbers are the same everywhere. the price of a hair cut is between 6 & 8 pounds. Just remember in future to go to the newsagents before getting your hair cut. If you come with notes, barbers don't like to give change, Yes they are "teefin' your rass" but at the same time, them giving you change it is awkward for them. They don't have cash machines, they don't have no cashier to take your money.

yardie barber: 'Wah yuh wan!!!!' (in deep harshjamaican patwa)

Ok is Dougie still on Princess Rd, thought he would have moved. Yeah Mohammed's is apparently always packed out...one of my son's only complaints...but that should tell you something...I won't swear on it, but don't think he is Somalian (maybe he is and just been around for years) If memory serves me right he is on the same block as the boxing gym??? don't know about the key cut place, long time since I've been along Princess Rd.
