Integrity, Honour, Discipline and Order are these traits vital to an individual in orderto be respected in the UK?

I feel more and more individuals(not just black)in the UK are drifting away from these traits this can only mean a break downin society in the future.

Parents should implement these traits into children from an early age conditioning them as should schools.

If I was talk to someone who possess these traits I have an instant respect for them straight away. Employers look for these traits or qualitiesin anindividual.

In 2005 why don't individual possess these traits?

Integrity, honour, discipline and order... I used to swear by these traits growing up and with my interaction with others... in 2005 try to live by those rules and watch yourself get abused, dissed... called stupid... and generally made to feel an idiot !

Its a real shame as years ago theses where traits the British swore by !

Now... don't trust anyone ...fiddle that paper if you want to get that grant ...f**k it, it aint mine ! Is the attitude that prevailes

Do you mean th people of yester yester possessed ALL of the four traits more often then today?

you will find this is far from the truth.

back then of yester yesterthe *image* people gave us to believe that the traits are present........................people of honour behind closed doors have no honour.

The only difference is nowdays people are brave to admit it and are public.

through outentire history of humankind their has never been a period were society held these traits more than another time period.

you will always get these traits AND its opposites in all societies at all time period.

but lets move the goal posts..............

how can someone grow out of these traits...........?...................depends on the enviornment.........family, system, values change etc

Well let me put it this way in the real world, when an honest person applys for a job that he/she is qualified to do, tells the truth on the application...

...and is overlooked for someone who has lied on their application... what do you think the person is gonna do next time they apply ? - Go figure !

I'm not a resident of the UK so I'm in no position to speak on it, but universally speaking these are admirable traits.

But don't forget the most important trait that commands respect:

POWER

Without power, you'll never get the respect you desire because people know there is no consequence if they disrespect you.

Once you get POWER, then you use that power in an honorable, disciplined, and orderly way.
