Great minds snark alike.
Dream, believe, and act that's where many of us fail.Don't onlytalk, but work at it. Don't hate others for what U don't have, go and get it. Don't just immitate, but innovate. Don't just stand there andstare theyoung prostitutes/gangs/homeless/handicaps try to help them. We talk, and talk, and talk, that's it, we rarely go back and examine if our wishes, actions had any influence on our people. Many blacks have dedicatedtheir lives to build better black communities, andwe willbe damned if we don't appreciate them everday. Show them respect, and admire what they do. Be part of your community, not only once a year, but everyday and night. We can dream for better future for our people, we must believe it can be done, and has to be done. Even with our current situation, and we must act to better one another.
What have U done for us lately....
I'm asking people to post on here, links, personal diaries/articles about things they have done, to better their communities..............

Loooool Jett.
lets look this technically speaking.Being bornwas something U couldn't control, mom and dad had to do the darn thing without Ur permission, hopefuly while married , fertilization happened sometime andturned intoembryo, also without Ur permission, U came out, and started milking Ur mom'smilks , and U too had no control over all these. What I'masking is, what U have control over, like taking care of those that can't, not what U didn't or don't have control over.

Well lemme see, Ive taken part in hepling children improve their reading (reading schemes), i was a playworker for children after schools during the summer, I was a ACScultral awareness officer for my university.
Im not really that active on a daily basis, but iim in the process of writing a business plan for the improvement and self awareness of youths.

saywone1, Well done, I do the same.
Yeah I know, they would rather talk about skin tone, interracial dating, my sh*t is bigger then yours, and more garbage. Fine with me, I will post and add more resources.

Blackthought, Very good, we need more of us doing that. Since I came back from an army deployment, I spend three hours a week collecting used books from my university studentsfor two newly built universities in my home nation "somalia", and it's very amazing to see how many people want to help, but they don't know how! And this is where our are needed. Is the kid a family member? I think family is where we should start our community activities.

@Bele you know the kid is a distant cousin of mine, new him vaguely when I was over there, and he took time to write to me and my mum advice to help him, I mean when I calcualted how much he needs monthly, it's nothing and I mean absolute nothing.... Plus I was quite willing to help him, becuase he wanted to empower himself, not just wanting hand outs, or clothes from abroad so he can show off to his friends....
The thing is IMOa lot of people want to help, but don't know how or going about it the wrong way...

Lets hope he grows up tohave betterfuture with your help. Our time in this world is very short, so giving few cents, it's really a few cents if U look how much we spend on other things to a needy kid is a life time reward. In my young life, I have been very fortunate to come from well to do, and well educated family who have thought me I have to work for myself, and try to behelpful to those who can't help themselves.
