Just one thing, Penny, I was dismayed at our colleague Geoff Schumann
'dissing' the Sunday Night Special's item on 'Shoot the Messenger' on
Sunday. After a fantastic response (over fifty calls) to our coverage
of the story and interview with the author, it was disheartening to hear
Geoff's opening gambit when he came on air at 10.00pm about how if he
had had the item on his programme how differently he would have done it.
Frankly this was totally unprofessional and undermining of the station's
output. All the more sad because we actively encourage listeners to stay
tuned to him after 10pm and remind them to keep the calls coming in for
his programme, whereas I have not heard him once even thank us for the
preceding programme.

I am copying this message to Geoff so that he is of no misapprehension
as to how I feel, but I would appreciate if you spoke to him directly
about his unhelpful and unconstructive on-air criticism.
