I was wondering the other day does, anyone think it would be a good idea of all the commuinty station DJ/HOSTS i.e. Galaxy FM , Genesis, Powerjam, Juice fm, Bassline fm, Flames fm etcmet up withwith....
1. hosts from other statuions, in particular Angie le mar, Henry Bonsu, Dotun Adebayio, Miss P, Amina Taylor, Angie Greaves, Jenny Francis
2. Other Black Institutuions like Blacknet, Black Professionals, Black in Britain, Black Information Link, Society of Black Lawyers etc
3. well known black figures in the community like Ben Zappenhiah, Kwame Kwei Armah, Blacker Dredd, Joyce Ohahjah
to try and formulate solutions to deal with the variopus problems facing blacks in this country. I know that some of them may have beefs for whatever reason reason but the time has come for us to put them to aside because what is happening to blacks espacially the yopuths is bigger than all of the petty squabbles that have been taking place amongst people i.e Dr X vs Every other radio station

I have called some of these radio stations and debated this issue ,like i`ve heard a few others callers from time to time say the same thing , YOU ARE ON POINT !!!!
this should be arranged and a time and place to be set .

This is the most progressive post I have seen on this forum. Imagine all these forces working as one entity. Like the muslims have their uk organisation we should form the Unified African Council of theUK. (UACUK).
And even if thoses organisations dont want to band together we should get together in this forum to work out a way how we can make this happen.
I propose we come up with a 10 point plan of action in this thread to trash out a way of bringing all those who are intersted in this Idea together. We could all meet on a monthly basis to formulate a Strategy to band these organisations together.
What do you all think, also suggestions on the ten point plan would be a start.
UNITY IS THE FOUNDATION OF SURVIVAL

I am glad that I am not the only person who feels this way. I actually made this suggestion a number of times on various shows....
1. During JUICY ISSUES hosted by Macca C and Destiny Thursdays 8pm -10pm Juice FM 102.5FM. they preety much felt the same way, and even suggested people should exchange numbers. HOWEVER THEY DID REITERATE THAT DUE TO VARIOUSEGOS AMONGST VARIOUS HOSTS IT WOULD BE VERY HARD TO MAKE IT HAPPEN, AS SOME PEOPLE DO NOT GET ALONG. but they generally support the idea.
2. I texted in my suggestion about two weeks ago during Bongo Tetteh, and Brother Omowale 12pm -3pm DE BRAIN WASHING SHOW, but got no reply.
3. I texted in the same suggestion to BrotherKwakus show on Powerjam about a month ago. He read it out, and asked me to ring in to explain further, HOWEVER STUPIDLY I HAD NO CREDIT, THEREFORE i was not able to reply. Also for afew weeks I have not been able to transmit his show on my radio.
4. I even texted the same suggestion to Amina Taylor in July duringher sunday evening show on BBC Radio 94.9 on Sunday evenings.I GOT NO REPLY. I might try her again by emailing her instead.
AS FOR THE 10 POINT PLAN. IM STILL THINGING ABOUT THAT. THE ONLY IDEA I HAVE SO FAR WOULD BE JUST TO RING UP/EMAIL ETC,THESE RADIO HOSTS, AND EXPLAIN TO THEM WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE HAPPEN. DOES ANYONE NEED ANY PHONE NUMBERS OF ANY STATIONS IF NOT I MAY POST SOME ON THE SIGHT. I HAVE A HELL OF A LOT.

Is there any particular reason for "texting" radio talk shows?

I am, not too sure what you mean MGL. I text talk show usually because I do not have enough credit for a call on my phone, or when the phoene lines are too busy

I think the first thing we do is find the personalemail address of all the dj we belive to be concerned about our community.
10 Point Actionplan
Point 1
I propose we ask as many people on the board to send an email or textwith your suggestion of a dj forum where they gather and agree on an agenda or a message. Even if they were to meet online it would be a start.
What do you think its a start, add to the plan if you think you have a way forward.
ps
I still think this is a good Idea these brothers and sisters reach so many people.

If you want to participate in radio phone-ins, it may be sensible to get access to a telephone that can be used for speech.

... before getting together "in unity" with Dotun Adebayo and Amina Taylor, perhaps you would like to read this
http://www.blackchat.co.uk/theblackf...m32/13666.html
... and before you "unify" with Angie Le Mar, I suggest that you read this ...

To an extent MGL I can see your point. I myself did not even know abouit the shooting of Azel Johnson. I am suprised that Angie Le Mar did not say anything about it, but am not suprised that Amina and Dotun didn't.
WHAT WOULD YOU SYA WOULD BE A MORE FITTING SOLUTION . DO YOU THINK I SHOUD FOCUS JUST ON THE COMMUNITY RADIO HOSTS
