Sam Sharpe was a slave who used religion and politics to ignite the flame of freedom amongst black slaves, to think religion (the baptists especially ) was part of what saved black people,but the patience of the slaves was exhausted,to think white women who could not vote at the time fought Willaim wilberforce's idea of gradual physical emmancipation,the domestic slaves were a huge help too, this is interesting....

FUNNY ENOUGH THEY ARE SHOWING US HOW THE CHURCH WAS VOCAL IN ABOLITION OF SLAVERY WHILE THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SLAVE MASTER AT THAT TIME

Wilberforce and his delayed emancipaion in 1838..nothing more but I would have loved if it would have been more from the the black carribeans and not some middle class oxbridge males

How come they didnt talk much about the MAROONS from Jamaica?
