I'm just throwing this out there to see if other experience the same problem...yesterday I'm standing at the bus stop minding my own business as you do... Its a wide pavement, I'm standing closed to the actual stop and there has to be at least 3 to 4 feet of pavement space to my right...

I notice a white woman approaching me, she can clearly see me, but she keeps walking directly at me...I think well she must see me and walk around me..nope do you this wretch bounced straight into me as if i weren't there...

I've had similar experiences waiting at the tube Station and people will walk into you as if they either don't see me or as if I'm expected to move out of their way...

I've been on a train Platform standing near the edge, there is clearly ample space behind me, yet guaranteed someone will walk between me and the edge of the plaform why?

Now did i discover without realising the secret of invisability or is there something that i'm obviously missing here..because i'm curious.. I'm not exactly a small person or someone I thought who could be missed even in a dark room...so what is this about do you think?

I thought it was me Kunjufu....they have this arrogance where they seem to think that we must move out of the way as though we owe them something.

I've had this happen plenty of times and I had to wonder if they were either idiotic (I've come to the conclusion that they are) or was it really me??I mean how much space does one need anyways??

I believe some are testing you to see what you'll do....I just stare at them now to let them they better find another way.....

try walking down any london underground platform, its like their is bare space yet everyone walks towards you............the asian girls in a gang are the worse, they throw their hands like octupus...........

I think it is a conspiercy to throw you unto the rail track

or unto the road

or maybe you smell good

or they want to hug you

or mug you

I don't know but it is bizzare.

SoooFresh & Shae: you know I feel assured, because i was beginning to wonder, do you lot even get this happen to you:

You're sitting down either on the bus, a bench etc and your bag might be occupying the next seat...the same people will walk up to you and just STAND there without saying a word.

I live in Chicago in the U.S. White folks do the same damn thing here too. I first noticed it when I was in my second year of college and would be on my way to my new job downtown. White folks would just walk like they didn't see me and bump me without a word almost knocking me down.

Soon after, I tried a new trick.
If I would see one of them coming and acting like I was invisible, I would brace myself and set my shoulder and stance. Then when the idiot would pass and bump into me, it would be like they walked into a brick wall. A few of em almost got knocked down on the ground...haha! I'd continue to act like I didn't see them and keep walking to my destination.

Kunjufu I hear what you're saying. I always seemed to get this special power of invisibility when I went to bars. I could be standing there waiting to get served and guaranteed some white tramp would get served before me; and there's no way you could miss me! To solve this problem I just stopped going to places with certain staff.
