I will never leave this country nor have I ever thought about it, this is nothing compared to the struggles of the past. The out pouring of support among Americans (black and white)in my city and across the nation has been overwhelming. This is a complete failure of gov't and the breaking ofa social contract. This gov't will be dealt with in the coming weeks. Ive had life long republicans come up to me (I work in govt)and have denounced this administration..

I think thishurricane debacle surpasses 9/11 in the political implications it will have, and itwill be HISTORIC, it may even halt the "war on terror". We havent even started the body count yet, we havent discussed the displacement of all these people, we havent seen the cost of rebuilding an entire city!!...Bush has utterly failed this country as a leader in every way a leader could fail...I have tried time after time to give this man the benefit of the doubt but he is ALWAYS wrong...The terrorist attacks, the blackouts, the botched war, the gas prices, the lack of leadership..It has been hell living under this administration.

And go where? To one of them bombed out Eastern Utopian countries? I don't think so.

Brother Omowale Malcolm X delivered one of his best speech on the 10 nov 1963 in Detroit it is called "Message to the Grassroots" he opens with a few sentences which I think are very appropriate for the debacle which is going on in the Gulf States. While Africans in American were waving flags when Sept 11 was going on saying “we are all Americans� not every one shared that sentiment. I do not think Africans in America need to leave strategically we need then there but they do need to start some sort of planning for independent thought. I hope at the Millions More Movement will be a platform for this type of thought

If Black people aren't gonna fight back and defend themselves in there own country then we might as well get the hell out.

If you are not going to leave america then you better start making plans to unite and create something of your own within the country andwake up realise thatracist leaders that do not have your interest at heart.

We should leave america? For What? You're telling us to move to a country where racism isn't present? Oh and where will that be? I've lived in the states all my life and proud of my state also.
