A man has been banned from owning a dog for 10 years after he sawed off his pet's leg to avoid vet fees. ... The pet had been hit by a car 10-months earlier injuring his front leg which eventually turned gangrenous.

The owner is white and mentally (shall we say) challenged...and the dog is obviously not african....unless you know better..

The tragedy is that a commitee or a vets practice or the RSPCA or somebody felt it needed to spend £4,000,rather than a lethal injection ....

its a dog for gods sake...

surely there are more important things that are in need of £4,000....has the world gone totally mad?
