I remember talkign about this long time ago regarding certain black people who are dead against IR but would only check for black people with 'typically' european features.

in Sudan and northen parts of Niger many blacks have greenish eyes................and it is NOT seen as attractive, actually they get called all sorts, and some people would not even marry them in fear the babies come with greenich eyes...............

but here and america..........yes it is definatly a case of *black but looks white so i am safe* mentality

Im repulsed by it to be honest,those variations of colour look fine on White people(I dont mind various shades of Brown colour on blacks,that is tolerable)

However the eyes are the "windows to the soul" and are very important to me,I dont want to be looking into my mans eyes and having the eyes of the oppressor staring back at me,it doesnt sit well with my soul,if im gonna have a pair of blue eyes looking back at me I might as well cut out the middle man and just date a white guy.

Is there actually a fascination with 'dark people who have light eyes?' I didn't realise this was a phenomenon that actually existed, unlike the'fascination with light skin' which a lot of black people have.

Is it white people or other black who have this 'fascination with dark people who have light eyes'?

Can't see what's so fascinating about dark folks having light eyes. Indians seem to worship people like that if those Bollywood films are anything to go by. Also coupled with the fact thatjust about everyblack woman I've seen latelyhas their hair straight. In fact there's more chance of me staring if I see black woman with an afro, because it's so uncommon.

Another thing I've noticed that ifI do see a black person with light eyes then they tend to be male over here, never seen a woman like that.

There was a time whenI used to get laughed at for cutting mine down short, because people were so used to seeing me with mine quite long as a wee bairn. Today that would be quite the opposite.

I think its a fascination with white people becaus lots of white people have lights eyes so there is really nothing rare about it.Most blacks are fascinated with anything white or non black so having light eyes is just oneof many adoredwhite features. Its the same with lightskinblacks or darkskin people with straight or curely hair.Some people with light eyes are ok butsome have eyesthat are too light and it looks very scary.

I think light eyes are way overrated, on white and Black people. I'm more likely to think that blue eyes look cold and dead, than anything else. I think it depends on the rest of the face, as to whether I am drawn to the face or not. Some Blackpeople with light eyes just look weird to me, like the boxer Sugar Shane Moseley, something about the combo of his light eyes and face, makes him look like a sex fiend/perv to me...not a good look.

I'm way more inclined to be fascinated byand drawn to,the size or shape of someone's eyes. Big voluminous eyes, dark piercing eyes, warm soulful eyes,cat or almond shaped eyes, sleepy eyes,Clear, alert eyes, as opposed to bloodshot,etc.

Off topic a little, Has anyone else noticed that when some Black people start to get old and deteriorate, their eyes start to lose melanin or color? I've noticed it among elderly people in my family, as well as random, Black elders. People who had brown or black appearing eyes all their lives, start to have a blueish hue to their eyes when they get old. If ya'll haven't noticed, start checking for it, cause I've definitely seen it. I have some theories on this, but I'll refrain....for now.
