don't know if this was covered back then here....my bad if it was, if not...check it out...interview with Professor Manning Marable, who is writing new book hopefully with the 3 missing chapters of the autobiography.
Without any validation from Alex Haley or Betty Shabaazz any "new revelations" are meaningless. Bear in mind the autobiography was not written by Malcom but related to Alex Haley by him. Who is this fellow to call Haley an FBI collaborater?
now to answer the question, Marable worked with and had contact with Dr. Betty Shabazz before her untimely death.... he is not some crackpot who just came out of the blue.....
He is one of, if not THE most respected authorities on the life of El Haji malik Shabazz...
the allegations are a bit crazy....I'm gonna look at the info for myself and make my own decision.
I have tremendous respect for Alex Haley......but there were allegations and proof that even Thurgood Marshall worked with the FBI at some point to the detriment of "radical" black groups ....and Justice Marshall is a highly respected figure in our history..
