As always, I thought Louis Farrakhan was on point.
They could have left out some of the music and preachy tone.
So did anybody watch?

Well this is my take on it and I'm going to be honest:
-They could have left out most of the music, which I ignored because I wanted to hear more about what people had to say and hear some solutions. If I wanted to hear a bunch of music, I would go to a concert.
-Jesse Jackson's publicity/money hungry/baby daddy a$$ was there and I couldn't even bear to listen to him because I know who he really is. Of course he was mostly there for publicity and money and I didn't even bother listening to him.
-The beginning was a little stale and boring, just a bunch of unknowns(well to me at least) just babbling and preaching, didn't really hear much of solutions for our community.
-There was part of the program where they had this thug guy that was(or usedto be)in a gang where he was talking about God knows what. He should have left his butt home, no need for that here.
-To me it was too much of a "Give donations, feel good get together" thing for me, instead of people talking about solutions and things needed to be done for our community and things that need to change.
-My favorite part, of course, Brotha Louis Farrakhan. He's on point on everything he said. It would be better if you listened to his speech than listen to me on what he said because to be honest with you I can't tell word for word what he said, but believe me, it was a good speech.lol He was the only one that I thought didn't babble on and on about "Keep hope alive" and "We shall overcome" bullcrap that is redundant.
-To me, they should have let the NOI organize the whole thing instead of letting the Hip Hop community have input into it. We are bombarded with that stuff everyday, leave it out of politics.

Black Brain, you are sorta right about the hip hop thing BUT.........these ppl had to include them. If you want todays youth to be in-tune then you have to include some of these people who are capable of spreading the message. Im very proud of rapper KanyeWest stepping up and speaking about hurricane Katrina. You want these guys to join the fight.
"A woman\'s test is material.
A man\'s test is a woman....
If a man could f**k in a cardboard box,
He wouldn\'t buy a house." - Dave Chappelle

Mr.Magic, well that should tell you a lot about youth these days.Itseems to me that more of my generation is concerned about who got the latest rap diss or could rap better than real issues that concern us even more, but that's another issue altogether...
