I have my heart set on getting the Siemens CL75 on the O2 network (pay as you go) from phones 4 U.

I will definatly be getting this phone, but as i am used to Nokia and T Mobile i had some queries:

Does anyone have a siemens phone, or better yet, this model or a similar model? Are they easy to use? Any major differences to Nokia?

Is anyone on the O2 network as pay as you go? how would you rate this service? (this phone is only available from O2 as pay as you go)

Has anyone purchased a phone from phones for you? How would you rate the speed of the service?

The siemens CL75 is ONLY available from O2 as pay as you go. I have not seen it anywhere else under any other tarriff.

PLEASE only reply if you have answers to the above questions. I am not interested in a contract, am strictly looking for pay as you go. I really like this model and will most likely get it. Am not interested in a billion and one features, so please no recomendations for other handsets!! (i have researched it and narrowed it down to 11 phones from the major networks and retailers. This model is my favourite)

here is a link to it. Hope it works.

So nobody has a siemens phone? Or a pay as you go on the O2 network? Or bought a phone from phones for u?!?! Nobody???!!!!

OK then, who can answer me this: If you have ever been a T mobile customer and ended your contract, exactly how hard were they to shake off? (You know these people can't take no for an answer!!)

They will be happy to get rid of you, if you have there old old tariff... you know the free weekend and evening calls.... but they are pretty much *******s when it comes to upgrading... I remember how much I had to haggle with them, just to get a decent phone last year...

Bottom line is this... if you have a line rental with them, the higher your bill the lesser they will want to get rid of your ass...

Now as for siemen phones, my friend use to always choose siemens, and from the look of things its somehow more tricker to navigate than the likes of Nokia and Ericcson... and I am not to sure about its reliablity either....

Thank you Black Thought!! I don't have the free weekend/evening tarriff. I have the 100 minutes free every month tarriff. Been on it for about 20 months or so (my original contract was for 18 months). When i cut them off, i don't want them offering me all kinds of deals and insentives to keep me as a customer, because the phone i want is only on O2!!

My sister is always having to haggle with them for a decent phone and tarriff. She finds them hard to get rid of. That said, she is a bargainer so she always gets a good deal from them lol

Funny you should mention about upgrading, because i upgraded my mums phone online. But instead of an upgrade, they sent her a new package (new phone with new sim). The bitch about it was that they changed her tarriff. So instead of 13.99 a month she now pays £21 or something like that. She also now has to pay when she deals 150, but when she was an "old" customer, it was free!! So i REALLY don't want them offering me anything except a good bye handshake lol

@MB

When you live them just ask for your Pak No, so that you will be able to carry your number to O2 when you finally do get one... they charge £8.50 to retain the number( I think they are the onlyNetworkwho charges for this, others do it for free)...

I've been with O2 for donkey's years (about 15 if I'm right!). I moved to T Mobile for about a year....never, ever again! Their customer service sucks, and their coverage was awful!

I was on prepay when I went back to O2. No problems at all. I only upgraded to contract for ease, because I kept forgetting to top up! My daughter has a prepay O2 phone - she's very happy with it.

I've never had a Siemens - I only use Nokia now (had Motorola for a while - that sucked too!).

Thanks for the response BT and LV.

@ Black thought: My phone on T mobile is contract but when i got to O2 i will be pre pay. Would i still be able to use my number? I guess that would be a question for T Mobile to answer lol

@ Lady Vee, thanks, i really needed to know about O2 from a seasoned customer, sp. a prepay one. Call me ignorant, but i hade NO IDEA O2 had been going for 15 years! I used to have pay as you go from Virgin mobile and i registered my debit card with them. It was great for convenience but there were just too many times when they were having "techical difficulties" and i couldn't top up. That was really annoying. I didn't leave them though, because i ended up losing the phone anyway! (good thing it was pay as you go!) Do you get these problems with O2?

Ideally you should be able too... when you are leaving t-mobile just ask them aboutthat you will like to keepyour number..... then when you get the O2 phone and your new number, when registering your pay as you go... tell O2 that you will like to bring your old number, they will ask you the pac no for your old number..... and voila it usually takes about 2-3 days sometimes less.....

I did, but at the time prepay was a new thing (they used to be owned by BT, then changed to O2). My daughter has no problems topping up.

Onestopphoneshop.co.uk is a fanstastic website for mobile phone deals.

Guys,

For the love of cell phones PLEASE! and I repeat PLEASE!! don't do you business with T-Mobile! They will slam you in a heartbeat. They will put something on your service without you knowing it. For example,I had some what I call" half calls" on my phone were, another person could call me, but I couldn't call them after I asked them to shut of f my service. Since I couldn't use it myself, I didn't think anything of it. Then they send me a bill stating that I owe themso and so amount of dollars ( and they also added some moremysterious money on my account). I'm trying to figure how do I owe these guys anything when I couldn't use the service, let alone I was cluelessabout it. They said they did me a service. Where?! they didn't do me jack squat because I didn't ask for it and the put on myphone after I asked them to shut off my service from them. Now they are threatening me with creditors. I'm not intimidated. I have already notified Consumer Affairs. They said that what they aredoing is against the law and I can take legal action against them( which you know I did)
