These are clothes that are signatured with someones name on them. Sean John, Tommy, etc. They are dangerous. Especially the shirts. And people wonder why they stay middle class or cant make it out the ghetto. Every piece of shirt or pants have to cost at least 50 dollars and have to be name brand.
There is a bad spell around these clothes. And there is such thing as spells.

Well i think, the reason why black people spend so much money on designer clothes; is because of lack of self-esteem........
They buy these "good" makes so it makes them feel like they are worth something because they are seen to have money. I don't know why this is...!! maybe its a legacy of slavery, who knows???
What peeple need to realise is the things what all humans need regardless of race or ethnicity is: Clothes, shelter and food... There is no need to spend all those £££ and $$$$ on clothes....

I never buy clothes that have those big names on them...
You cannot always tell when someone is culturally bankrupt when they wear all that they are worth on their back.

ALOT OF THE BRANDS ARE ALLMOST THE EXACT SAME CLOTHES WITH A DIFFERENT NAME ON IT. WHAT IS THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SEAN JOHN JUMP SUIT AND A CHEPER BRAND.

If I were to buy my kids and myselfall name brands, I would not have much left for bills or food. The stuff is very expensive. They are both in middle school and peer pressure is severe to say the least. I've evenheard them come home and talk about how some kid got joked on about his/her attire. I let them know that clothes do not make a person. I feel that some people over- compensate with brand name clothes for their kids out of guilt for notspending quality time withthem for whatever reason, and I can shamefully admit to doing that in the past myself, but that is a different topic alltogethor. And I think that some blackadultswear them as a symbol of status and success, and all Ihave to say to that is, if they have it like that, go right ahead, but if you don't, please stop bending over backwards just to "look" like something you are not. As long asI amneat and clean (without looking like a total corn ball, banana.gif LOL!!) I am satisfied. I really don't care what others may think.

The only name brand I rock is on my feet, Nike and Timberlands. Oh and recently I been feeling K Swiss. Clothes wise I got the hook up from an urban designer, he keeps his stuff low key and underground so I know I ain't gonna be seeing someone on rd with the same clothes as me. This guy's designs are tight, I get a discount and he comes to my yard, so I couldn't ask for more.

moral of the story? if you work hard for it, can afford it, then rock it, feel good and look good.
if you cant afford it, well, make sure you keep well groomed, look neat and smart with your lesser costing clothes, and pay your fc uking rent, bills and food for the kids, and stop trying to be a c*nt.
nothing makes me laugh more than some tramp wearing the latest designers clothes, but lives in a council house hovel and cant even pay their rent.

THE THING IS PEOPLE WHO CANT AFFORD IT SPEND ALL THEIR ENERGIES TRYING TO GET MONEY TO AFFORD SUCH THINGS.
AND PEOPLE THAT CAN AFFORD IT ARE NOT SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE BY WEARING IT ALL THE TIME.

people that can afford it have the right to wear what they want. what do you think they are working for? they have earned the right. its their hard earned cash. it is not their fault that the poorer people have 'red eye' for stuff they cant afford, and havent worked for.
the less well off on the other hand should be devoting their energies to more pressing concerns.....like food for the kids.

think it's natural for kids to want to look and dress like their friends....just wasn't aware of how crazy the level of materialsim is...
i've had about 5 instances where a family member/friend of family member came to visit from parts of africa, england and west indies...US....with kids...
and sadly......the kids are in love with american and hiphop culture... in love...
would rather spend shopping money on one pair of designer clothes... than on several cheaper outfits....
kids are kids....they perhpas can't get the absolute latest designs in their home country so they take advantage of being here...
it's sad when adults do it though...it's like come on, grow up....
people here are materialistic also...but these stories of vacationers just stick out in my mind......
People copy so much of what Black people here do..it's not even funny.....
