Yep... the slippers confirm it.
What kills me is when my mother's voice comes out my mouth... when I start talking about how these "young kids lack respect" and "need a clap on the behind" thenI stop and think
ps- I have Eeyore slippers... u r not alone.

What's seriously wrong with wearing slippers? I mean, Y'know, sometimes your feet just get cold. confused3
Anyway, younger people do all that stuff as well. I'm always talking with my brother about these young smug looking punks, and how I'd like to clap em one, for lookin at me all funny.
I have serious comtempt for teenagers, when I look at them I realise how pitiful I was.
"blastid teenagers, always taking up space"
"damned kids! why don't they get the hell outta my way!"
Funnily enough, YankeeJamaRican, I always thought you were young and beautiful.

And i also share a contempt of teenagers!! Apparently teenagers now comprise the largest age group they ever have before. No wonder the things seem to be every damn where!! Damn Ken Livingston to hell for making bus travel free for them. Now if they had a pair of roller skates and a rope to tie to the BACK of the bus...

I'm moving in with my partner in the summer so that makes me feel old. But the "youth of today" thing deffinatly cliches it for me. I'm constantly complaining about kids/teens these days! every other comment that comes out of my mouth these days is "if that was my pickney, dem woulda get a clap long time!"

I know exactly what you mean.
I aint even old, but I went Hackney Central last week. And the whole time (well the majority of the time) I was there, I was thinking "What amI doing in here". Loads of young girls wearing short skirts, belly tops etc. Just to show off asmuch skin as possible. There I was wearing Jeans and a T-shirt (well, you may as well call it a T-shirt).
Then I had to remember that I was just like that not too long ago, I actually think I'm getting old before my time. My days are spent in the house readinga book or something, when I really should be going out having a laugh.

Aw, that was a sweet comment, Name. Let's just say I am 30ish and cute
I mustrepeat that the question is "gettting old" not "there already" LOL. I have always worn slippers (like BP), they keep the tootsies warm and delicate.
LMAO @ MB... never a truer word.
Moresigns you are getting older, when you say to a teenager "Back when I was your age..."of course you can follow it with your Nan's famous "we had to walk 4 miles uphill to go to school and an additional 5 miles uphill to go home".
Another sign is the fact that it takes much longer to recover from a party than it used to... remember when it was NO challenge to go out from Thursday to Sunday nights?
