Mmmmm
Has anyone notice that advert they have promoting safe sex amongst teens
Where they have the split scene and each partner makes candid coments on the other leading up to the demise of them having sex… due to the absent condom??
Well there is one with a young black girl and a young white guy…
When stating the attraction
He goes : The face the body she was fit…
The black girl however even though a young teenager goes
The Clothes… The Car
….
Which pushes more the already general consensus that black women are overly materialistic.
Your views intentionally done by the people who made advertisement
or a coincidence?

Alot of youngsters today do appear to be quite materialistic, really into brand names, image, etc. So it might not necessarily be a racial thing. These youngsters ain't easy!
Take me to your place in space, I'm sick and tired of the rat race.

I just want to gravitate.....

Lucas ur right, because the situation is bad... they hav 2 futher continue the view that black women are materialistic.
People hav 2 understand the media is a very important tool used 2 shape and mold peoples minds. And when it comes black people the mainstream media hav a negative agenda.....
Sorry 2 go off the subject, but watching Big brother and seeing the way that Davina was chatting 2 Dennis Rodman that was shocking.....

Lucas
It might be more of a sexism thing than a racism thing. I haven't seen the ad but it made me think of Grease (and I HATE that frigging movie). When Sandy is telling her breddrins about Danny they are asking about his car and so on...

Whoah whoah slow down there BP. You are off key with your comments about african women- have you forgotten which forum you're on or something?
I know you have to use generilisations sometimes to make point, but you've gone beyond that now.
I'm suprised the ladies here have'nt taken your head off yet.

That is a load of bullcrap. It happens across the racial board! Pick up any magazine targeting white women and you will see the same type of stuff in there. They have tips telling you to increase your credit card payments, just so you can go out and buy designer glasses costing £240. Or shop around for a better mortgage to save money so you can buy a designer bag costing £495. Also case studies about women who spend more than they are earning, who are broke, have no savings but manage to spend £200+ on going out and shopping.

Ermm you are completely missing the point of my post. You made the ludicrous assumption that ONLY Black women put looking good before bills etc I'm telling you that simply ISNT the case.

Nowhere in my post did I state/claim/imply that Black women are following white women. KMT.

I'll leave when I'm good and ready thanks. Maybe u choose not to see hypocritical statements have been made, but I know it's there.
Anyhoo back to the original question: I haven't seen the advert personally but I don't think nothing of them tings. If I know I'm not the type of person that is being portrayed on tv I don't let it faze me. Now from what u said Lucas both the black girl and the white guy was being materialistic which sounds about right, it's not a race ting at all cos it happens across the board.
I actually think white women are more materialistic then black women, because I have not seen or heard of any black women shacking up with a man twice their age just so they can get some dough when old man pops his clogs. But with white women they are stories I come across all the time.

THe reason why "white women" aren't checking you as you drive by in your hp car, might be because they want a white man. It might even be that your looks matches the vitriol you spout.
Further more, if you look closely at biology and the history of female subjugation you’ll find that it’s always in the woman’s best interest to ascertain the males’ financial situation before marrying/having children with a man.
In the past legislation ordained that women could not (except in extreme circumstances) inherited the wealth a parent would past down. Or even work as the culture deplored it. This has caused women to approach relationships with a firm view of financial security. Even now it’s the case that women are forced to earn less or raise the least in the workplace
Secondly, by divine design I’ve been given the task of producing children from my own body. Why on earth should I spend my time looking at a man that can’t put food on the table!
