Not necessarily age, just the experiences you have gone through and ur level of maturity. Me being 24 I know I'm a hell of a lot wiser than some 30+ people.

I would say age does bring some wisdom, though it depends upon what you learn from your experiences and especially your mistakes...I would have said I was wise in my mid-twenties, though now I can see clearly how muchI did not know...I also know people in their mid-forties who haven't learned anything since their mid- twenties, so age bringing wisdom is not automatic...

Bluehoney is 30+

All y'all are mid 20s.

Why you responding to a topic where she asked for opinions of older people?confused3

She isn't asking what 20something year olds think. She asking people who have age and years... not you!:P

Don't mention. Happen to agree with your point - in your twenties, you may be wise compared to teenagers and some older adults - but most twentysomethings I've met have more to learn thanthey have yet learned. I have offspring that age, so I have some insight into this....

From what I've witnessed it normally kicks in after 40, having a children helps also. Since thatautomatically stops one from being completely selfish, and you at least try and understand a child's frustrations.

@ Blue - yes age does make you wiser.

@ All - if you don't believe that then what do you think isthe point of living in this life and going through the struggles that one invariably goes through?

@ Blue - I wont give my personal experiences - but I will tell you what getting older does: it gives a pattern to your life. You start to see the choices/consequences/repercussions etc...in your life and that creates a pattern of knowledge. When you have a pattern you can be better prepared topredictthe next step.

Not to say that all people become absolutely "wise" because they are getting older....I suppsed it depends on what point you start on. But I do believe that as you age, you will become wiser than you were. But we all have diferrent starting points which accounts for why you can have two 40 years olds who have differnt levels of wisdom.

What are your thoughts Blue?

What is your life worth?
If you think that the only way you can survive is in the misuse of people,
then you haven't even begun to think about what it means to be human. ~ Dr C.T.Vivian
