Here's some thoughts for you:

What political party are you? Why are you that party? Are you that party because your parents are that party? Or did you research all the parties and picked the one that most closely fit your ideals?

What religion are you? Why are you following that religion? Are you following it because that's what your family follows? Or did you seek out your own beliefs and ideas?

College students: Why are you in college? Are you there because you automatically assume you need to be there to have any shot of a career? Did your parents expect you to go? Did you pick a career where a degree is an absolute must, such as a doctor, lawyer, etc..?

Married people: Why are you married? Was it "just that time" in your life where people your age in relationships were getting married? We were afraid of losing the person, so you wanted to get them "under contract"? Did you assume "that's what everyone does at this point in their life"? Did your friends or family keep pressuring you via "When are you guys going to get married?"

Parents: Why do you have children? Is it "what everyone does once they're married"? Were you feeling pressure to have kids before you got too old? Were your parents saying "When are we going to have grandkids?"

Anyways, just throwing some questions out there. I just feel that a majority of people in this world are just blindly following what everyone else does without really thinking about things for themselves. So I've proposed these questions for if no other reason, than just to get people to think about certain things.

Feel free to add more questions to this list. I'm sure there are tons more that could be asked.

I'm independent, always have been. So far I have never voted for, only against. I voted against Bush twice, didn't do any good.

I'm a heretic. Decided I was an agnostic at 12, and started reading about the occult at 22.

None, politics has never been my thing. Outside of my realm anyway, so has no effect on meregardless of who happens to be in power.

None. Thinking like other people would be too much of a disappointment. However, religion is interesting, the people who follow them are not.

I forced to goto college and university. Homelessness was the alternative option.

AlsoI was talked out of joining the Marines after finishing college. Something thatI regret strangely.

Got kicked out while at uni anyway which was for the best in the end.

Married people: Why are you married?

I sometimes wonder this myself.

Parents: Why do you have children?
Quote:
No intention of having them.

I never meant for you guys to answer the questions!

I meant for us to think of questions like these ones that make you assess WHY you hold certain beliefs and analyse your own thinking on many different topics. Did you get to your steadfast views by yourself or were you guided there? Don't answer me! Just think about it and add some more questions...

I mostly read a helluvalot and rolled it around in my head for years, or even decades. Christianity always came across as on the dumb side. All intelligent God can't come up with a system better than HELL?

Yeah Right!

Then when I'm over 40 I find out about SHEOL. The word HELL isn't even in the Bible.

The strange thing is the word SHEOL is in the book Starship Troopers. Heinlein used it for the name of a planet. I must have read it in high school but I didn't look it up. I read the book again after the movie came out. Sci-fi undoubtedly affected my perspective of reality and makes conventional thinking kind of uninteresting.
